I am starting a new thread to track cases from NVC - embassy to GC.
The best news for RN in China, Phillippines and India has been great and informative thread, but I think it is more appropriate and convenient if we start a new thread.
Also with the rapid scheduling of interviews for most of us, I am looking beyond the CP and anticipating the GC!
The August interview schedules are out already in India, and recently in the Philippines and hopefully in China.
Here is my case details
Category : EX Schedule A
USCIS receipt : April 2004
Processing Center : Vermont
I-140 approved : October 2004
NVC case number : MNL2004813XXX
NVC forwarded packet 3 : April 5, 2005
Packet 3 sent back to NVC : May 3, 2005
NVC case completed : May 16, 2005
Consular Interview : August 29, 2005
Visa received : ???
Date of entry in the US :???
GC receive : ????
I hope you can also post here your details interview experience.
God bless!
Hi,My priority date is 27 Sept 2006 and NVC issued visa fee bill on 2nd July 2007. My agent asked me to send money for my spouse and child. I paid the money but I am not sure whether or not my agent paid the visa fees to NVC.
I have noticed on NVC's websiste that when a priority date become current, NVC start processing the case and process up to completion? As per July Visa bulletin, dates were current (in August bulleting no dates cut off date mentioned but they put it as unavailable). That means my case is eligible for futher processing and my agent can still pay my visa fees and submit DS-230 etc. and if there is a visa available for me in next fiscal year (starting from October 01, 2007) my case can be moved to my assigned consulate! Am I right?
Alina
If NVC have asked for fee to be paid then they are moving forward with your file, They are only asking for the ones they want. Once your fee has been paid and accepted by NVC they will ask for DS230 for you and your family and once a visa is allocated will forward it to embassy
Hi guys! I called up NVC awhile ago and I was able to speak with a representative...I asked about the status of my case and the lady said that my case was already completed and that I'll just have to wait for my interview schedule. I also asked if there is a visa number assigned for my case and she replied "yes". She advised me to call again on the 3rd week of Aug to see if I'm included in the Sept interview. Guys, I'm not sure if I should believe what she said because for Aug visa bulletin, visa numbers are unavailable. So guys, for all those whose cases are already completed, pls call nvc and let's compare what they say. Thanks and let's just pray and hope for the best! :)
hi gracieo8..good to hear that.we are in the same boat, case completed last July 13, and been calling NVC from time to time.I have tried to speak to an operator but to no avail, all lines are busy so I just relied to the same automated response but was really glad to hear that there is a visa reserved for you, hope there is also one for me.
been so tired on this "waiting game" but i am not losing hope...God bless.
Hi gracie! I will try to call NVC and hope that i'll have the same info like yours...though like pretty nierelle, its quite hard to get thru those lines. I hope its a sign that those who were asked to resubmit ds230 has already assigned a visa as well as an interview. I will be praying soooo hard for this.

Yeah, my NCLEX is in CA too. You'll never know prabably a fews years from now we get to see each other. NVC recieved my updated ds230 July 18. Crossing my fingers on the completion of my case. Lately, I try to limit my calls and emails to NVC.... And now I am SUPER addicted to this forum!!! Gives me answers to hard to find questions.
Hi Fruity. Sorry it took so long before i got to reply. I have been trying to keep myself busy for the past few days to keep my mind off this whole thing. hehehe That's great we have the same state...at least we can get in touch with reagrds as how to go about it (knock on wood) in case our nclex expires and we're still here. That's really my dilemma now. Is it possible that you PM me your mobile number so I can get in touch with you? Im really getting anxious. By the way called the nvc early this week, still got the same message from the voice prompt...to wait for further instructions. How's the status of your case? Has your case been completed already?
Hi gracie, pretty neireille , fruity, etc. Glad to hear that gracie was able to speak to a representative. I have been trying to call also but the lines are always busy. We are all in the same boat with cases completed last month. Let's just hope that if we don't get a schedule on September, hopefully we get one on October when the new fiscal year opens.

nclex exam results do not expire.
applications can expire to a board of nursing, but you do not need to retest. the exam is handled thru pearson-vue for the national testing board, so the results do not expire. the exam is not administered by the bon, they just use the results.
And please be aware that many of the people that are answering the phones with immigration are contract employees and may not have all of the information.
If some have had interviews already scheduled, and then cancelled because there were no visa numbers left to give out at this time, why do you expect that you will have an interview in September? The new visas are not going to be released until October and we do no know how the distribution will be then. Even the NVC, and other agencies do not know as of yet. Please do not put too much into what you hear over the phone, that is not the person that has any authority on the visa numbers or anything else. Same thing as when you call the phone company, you do not always get the correct information over the phone.

Hi jrhyle,
Once again thank you very much for your valuable information. We really appreciate it. As you said, we have contacted the US Embassy in Muscat and got the following information.
1) As my sister's case is still with NVC, she just need to write NVC and ask them to send the file to Chennai (India) consulate upon completion. If she is not writing to NVC right now, the file will move to Muscat Embassy upon completion and she may need to follow the steps you mentioned in your comments.
2) One more option is there; she can attend the interview in Muscat and after getting visa she can ask them to sent the case to Chennai for interview of her spouse.
3) Another option is that; spouce need not be a permanent resident in Oman only thing required is to bring him at the time interview to Muscat (even on a short family visit visa) and they she can have their interview in Muscat (if she prefers so)
The consular officer was very nice to us and he gave the above information very politely and instantly.
Thank you jrhyle for your support.
