Nursing Students' Summer Plans

Hi Everyone! Another semester has come to an end :yeah:

So, what are your summer plans??

Taking summer classes :trout:

A much needed vacation :smokin:

Catchin up on the reading you did not do during the semester :nono:

I have one summer class to take (Bioethics), then I am off to Jamaica for 10 days before I come back to prepare for Nursing 2.

What are your plans???

- 2 month summer externship starting next week

- Studying pharmacology in between to get a jump start

- Trying to get my apartment in order because when I'm in school nothing gets done.

- Trying to lose a few pounds

I really, really wanted a month or two off but my first choice hospital offered me a day shift and orientation begins the same time for everyone -- so I couldn't turn it down.

LOL that meaning is common to most people. I used to live in MD and we use to say that when we were talking about Ocean City which is on the Eastern Shore. Now I'm in NC and people say that for Wilmington, Myrtle Beach, etc.

But say it to somebody in ND. When I say it to people in the midwest and stuff...many have no idea unless they knew somebody from here.

I can't tell ya how many times I've had to explain it to people who aren't in this area at all.

I've had some ask why it's down and not over.:lol2:

i'm in an adn program, so i will be taking my third semester of five this summer:monkeydance:. the good thing is that we are only in class for eight weeks:lol2:.

well i don't really have any plans. dh started a new job so we won't be taking any vacations. i am in 10 weeks of summer school micro. then submitting my app to the nursing program and hope to be in by jan 08 wish me luck.

I'm done with class the first week of June. My goals for the summer include spending some quality time with my NCLEX review book, cleaning the house, finally getting all the laundry done, and putting away all the crap that's accumulated on the kitchen table. DH and I have been talking about taking a weekend trip somewhere, but we don't have any definate plans. I'm also continuing to work full time as a CNA.

I am going to London on June 28 with the bf and his family, getting engaged sometime within the next few weeks (I think it'll be when we're in London :loveya: ), then moving 6 hours away on July 16th (moving in with the bf), my birthday is July 18, then start nursing school on August 20th!

i'll be working my regular job while looking for an lpn job, catching up on a few good books, working on my myspace page and blog, taking some weekend trips and sleeping...towards the end of the summer i will start reviewing for cadiac class in august...this is the first summer in 2 years with no summer classes so i am going to try to enjoy it.
