nursing student life

Published

hm...

actually i was not like nursing life

cuz the nursing training, learning are hard

untill these days... i am going to graduate next year

i think i love nursing :):redbeathe

i can help sick people :)

maybe this nursing road is hard to walk

but i know this is what i want

how about u?

before entering i had some motivation to be a RN. i thought my motivation would increase once im in the program but it was the opposite. i was constantly discouraged from my teachers and my performance in lab. after the first day at the hospital, it completely spiked after seeing how appreciative the patients were that i helped them. if i just keep that in mind, i think i can succeed.

yes, we both can succeed

life? what life :( LOL

life? what life :( LOL

That's what I was thinking!

My life is pretty simple right now: class, work, study, sleep (about 4 hr); in that order, and sometimes I might actually get to eat a little bit...

my life is simple too

sleep class eat study....

My first semester of NS was rough and I made myself not have a life. I'm in my last semester and I honestly don't feel deprived of anything. I work part time, hang out with my friends, watch my favorite tv shows. I study maybe 8 hours a week. Nursing school shouldn't consume your life. Its' important to have a balance.

i am in my first semester of my adn prgoram and work as a pca per diem while attending classes. alot of the nurses at my work told me that i wouldnt have a life outside of work school and studying. i beg to differ. yes i agree my life has altered ofcourse ... (i dont have kids either, so that changes things like most of the nurses when they went to school whom i work with) but i think if you prioritze yourself and balance yourself out you still have time to enjoy someof your activities .. like exercise or just hanging out with your friends. i try to get in atleast 2 hrs of study time a day but i still have time to atleast catch up with family and friends. i think its all about balancing everything out. (its money i find myself lacking nowadays though :p) i figure if you study tooo much, then your brain sorta counteracts the info given. there is no way you can learn every little detail in every little chapter. you need to take breaks and let your brain absorb the information, and not study if you are overtired .. your not really retaining the information and basically studying for nothing. just sone things i learned in the last few weeks, and will def be putting them to use.

Right now school is consuming everything i do, bc i have like 77 projects due in the next two weeks + tests Q monday isnt helping. but ur right, i dont feel deprived of anything but sleep actuallly. Today i decided enough is enough of the craziness, so i made a list and plotted my day out by the hours , and looks like just about everything is getting done.:)

balance, priority..success :):nurse:
