I start my ADN program in a little over 2 weeks. I think I am mostly prepared, but I would love to know what you couldn't live with out or wish you had in nursing school.
Thank you!

As the weeks go by...I started bringing less and less to classes. The main reason, as the whole hype died down, the faculty started using less and less.
I'm less than 2 weeks away from graduation (FINALLY). The only thing I bring to class is my printed out lecture notes, A SINGLE pen, and my cell phone.
Good luck, you got this

Stethoscope and blood pressure cuff (just in case the vital machines are taken during clinicals)
Not all facilities allow use of outside BP cuffs, partly due to infection control (my hospital uses single pt use only cuffs), and partly due to calibration issues. How do you clean it between rooms? and do you really want to carry home hospital germs on your personal cuff. Stethoscopes are relatively easy to clean between rooms, cuffs not so much.

Lol that will be coffee. Many of us are on it daily and couldn't function without it. wasn't a coffee drinker but became one due to NS. So sad.

Less is more. The things I used most were a black pen, a red pen, and a yellow highlighter to use on the pre-printed powerpoint slides in class. For clinical, I brought those items plus a penlight, watch, and my stethoscope. Finally, I relied heavily on my planner (Bloom daily planners aren't too expensive but fit the bill in terms of size and weekly/monthly planning options). I hated the bother of packing a lunch so I'd just throw a bunch of snacks in my bag. I never brought books to school and only brought my laptop once a week to copy down info from the chart for my care plan.
My pack list is boring
