Bumping this because someone was looking for it. :)

It is scary that so many states do not accept ISU! Geez, I can't wait to enroll in an LPN-RN/BSN program such as ISU, but I'm a little worried about ISU vs. Excelsiors BON acceptance!

Why is it "scary"? The distance education track is a new program. Things take time. You aren't going to have all BONs accept it overnight nor are you suddenly going to have clinical sites in every hospital in every little town in the US.

I'm curious what the "pending" means.....

My state, Vermont, isn't on the list anywhere, and from what I gather from the BON, isn't going to be accepting a distance program anytime soon.

But New Hampshire is on the "pending" list, and that would be a possibility. Any ideas?

"Pending" means basically that they are working on it. I would imagine that means they've submitted the information to the BON and are waiting for approval?

hello,

i lived in california. and i want to become RN. so can you please plese suggest me ADN online degree that accepts california state. and i also like to take pre-requiest courses online so please help me with this. i don't know where to get help. so i really apricate.

THANK YOU VERY MUCH

There is no online degree that the state of CA accepts other than ISU. Suggest you look into their program or make plans to enter a traditional program near your home. Most schools will accept online courses taken at accredited schools for prerequisites, such as English or Psychology. You need to look at the specific requirements for the school(s) that you are considering and plan your school schedule accordingly. Contact the schools that offer nursing programs near you. They will be happy to provide you with this info.

Does anyone know if any of the pending states have been accepted yet?? I'm hoping that ISU becomes highly accepted soon!!:redpinkhe

Your best bet would be to call them and see where the process is in the state you are in. :)

Specializes in GI, Home Health-Infusions, Med-Surg.

Thanks for posting this. I live in VA and had planned to do EC, until recently VA said they wouldn't accept them anymore so I've been looking for an alternate way to get my RN without having to go to a classroom. I've been an LPN for 8 years and I'm finally in a position where I can go back to school. I'm in the process of getting my pre-reqs through Distance Learning. I'm so glad to see there is still another option for me.

does anybody know what they're accredidation is? are all classes: ge's (through college network) and nursing classes from indiana state online program TRANSFERRABLE to any other other colleges as if we attended school regularly vs. online.
