This is the sad reality about Excelsior. Some states are really being difficult and not accepting EC. My state is EC friendly but since being the program Dec 07. It really comes down to where you live and where your headed in the future. This program is not for everyone.

I too applied a couple of week ago and am awaiting the unofficial analysis of my transcripts - can't wait to get started! Good luck - maybe we can all get a study group going? :)

i am all for study groups!! maybe if i have someone else to be accountable to, i won't procrastinate so easily. and, even if we can't be at the same testing center, we can always go on the same day, or close....what's your first pick for class? i have my text for microbiology, but i haven't really started digging in just yet...could be persuaded to go a different route!!
I've already had a Microbiology class at the local university and hope that EC will accept it along with a bunch of other classes that I've already had. Hopefully it won't be too much longer and I'll know just what all I need to take from EC in order to get a degree.
But I'm serious as serious can be about a study group - most definitely!
it only took them right at 3 weeks to go through my transcripts...and they gave me a lot of credits that i wasn't sure about, so hopefully, it won't be long before you know what you need. i need the micro, 2 hours of anatomy (hoping i don't end up doing a&p all over, because i just need the a part ). and the information lit--we can take it for $90 through penn foster, the link is on this board somewhere. just has to be approved by ec first, which i've heard is not usually a problem. other than those, it's all nursing classes, so, when you find out what you need, let me know, we'll go at it together!
