I will be going up next month, with an agency. After more research it seems an easier way to go for just a few weeks and to get a taste for what it's like. You also don't have to pay for accomodations if you go with an agency. Will update you all when I get back!
If you are interested in going, the first thing you need to do is get your license there. It can take 6-8 weeks so plan ahead!
Are you talking about working as a flight nurse with an agency like Keewatin Air in Manitoba? Nurses working in hospitals, health centres and nursing stations in Nunavut are all federal government employees or federal-government contract employees. The provision of health care for aboriginal people in Canada is a federal responsibility.

Hi,
I just have a couple questions...I'd really like to follow in you foot steps one day.
Which agency are you going with? How much experience do you have? And where are you going?

Hi there,
Has anyone worked up north in Nunavut before?? I am looking to go there for a bit to make some extra money to pay student loans off, and was wondering if anyone knows a good travel company to phone, how much money you make out there and what the living conditions are like?? Any and all information would be greatly appreciated! Thanks very much in advance.
