Ugh you are so lucky! I've been waiting forever and now it just says "decision pending". My life is completely upside down, i need to hear from them soon! Ugh, maybe its a no go and that's whats taking so long.

I was just wondering because MSF requires RNs to take a tropical nursing course.

Is there any school in canada that offers any tropical nursing courses? Can't seem to find anything off of google.

I think my grades are good enough for early admission.. its just that i have to go back and take microbiology and english. I'm enrolled in those courses for jan.

What was your gpa getting in..if you dont mind me asking?

How do they calculate 3.0 average. Is it the last two years or all four years. The website doesn't really specify so I'm assuming all four years. If anyone is in their After Degree program or has applied, please help! I'm getting so nervous!

I'm not in nursing school yet hope to get into an accelerated program this fall.. so i guess I'll be done by 2014. I'm just absolutely obsessed with working up north. Haha maybe we can go together!

That sounds so creepy, but I'm already that way. I just want to make decent money when I'm done nursing schools, I already have a student loan from my first degree... that pretty much got me no where!!!

I guess, the only reason I would ever go up there would be for the money and solitude.

Thank you very much for your reply. I read that cost of living was very high, but I thought that's what the northern living allowance was for. I went on a website nunavutnurses... and there are posting that say that nla would be anywhere from 17,000 to 23,000 a year plus a $5000 signing bonus.
