A Mississippi Man Wore A Violently Racist Shirt To Vote In The Midterms

I wonder if people would throw as big a fit if somebody was blasting cop killer music or other thuggy stuff.

hypocrisy at its finest.

I most certainly object to "cop killer music." No hypocrisy at all.

If it fits your party's agenda its OK. if not then you are thrown to the sewers! No matter how ridiculous the logic is.

WTH does this have to do with politics? Any decent human being should be highly offended at a t-shirt inferring that blacks should be murdered.

Racism is not OK but somehow I doubt the allnurses crowd would be so irate if anti-white slander was tossed around.

As a white person, I wouldn't appreciate someone wearing a t-shirt insinuating that white people should be murdered. If someone did so and was fired by their employer, I wouldn't shed one tear for that person.

Freedom of speech is not and nor should it be all encompassing. Freedom to express your beliefs does not include the freedom to threaten others and I fail to see how a public statement in support of lynching can be seen as anything but threatening.

There is no place where this shirt is acceptable but a polling site? In an election cycle that is yet again loaded with accusations of voter suppression, polling site fraud, ballot count errors whether intentional or not and election tampering from unknown outside forces? That just adds more layers of what the Hades was this guy thinking.

In before I'm called all those myso, racist, etc stuff for not agreeing with everyone

and No i did not vote for trump so you can retype everything you just put out there

You're casting an awful lot of aspersions and getting your feathers riled up all over a hypothetical you're posing. Even if you're correct, does the fact that maybe there wouldn't be as much outrage in your scenario somehow excuse the abhorrently violent message on this t-shirt...?

The only place this is acceptable is at a klan meeting. That says everything. I'm all for freedom of speech, not being politically correct, etc but as others have said some things are very obviously across the line. This is one of them.

in response to davy's pictures

soooo If somebody really does not like you and they photoshop this pic on your shirt what happens?

feel like tech is getting to close to making fake evidence of things and always wondered if this happens in RL

not really, I am just surprised people get so emotional over a T shirt. yeah, its bad, but I am not going to steam over my computer when I see it. I think a poster above said somebody was not a good person for not getting triggered by the shirt. It must be a minor inconvenience to look at something you do not like and walk away/silently report it. But you know the far left has invaded this forum when they tell you how you should emotionally react to something.

Luckily when I hear gangster rap music playing in a car driving by I dont get all trigggy trigged and run to my safe space.

"Far left, thuggy, safe space triggered"

Next we'll get some Alex Jones quotes

In regards to your comment about "the far left invading this form", I'm not really sure on what basis you feel qualified to judge anything about this form

Looks like you're pretty new to this form- according to your profile, you just joined in March. I've been on it 12 years as have many of these people on this thread, some longer

You really need to rethink some of your interactions here, or perhaps just return to 4chan already

I could be wrong but I feel like you maybe don't personally have a connection or truly understand the deep, deep racism and hatred that this shirt is not only representing but that this man is proudly displaying. Because otherwise I just don't understand your thought process and comparisons.

This isn't about just a T-shirt, or disagreeing with "gangster rap thuggy thug music" or dealing with snowflakes. This is about years of hatred, oppression, murders. This is about the fact that my husband would be given 'Mississippi Justice' simply for the color of his skin and mine.

Being sensitive snowflakes and being morally offended as a human being because of something like this are two different things. Even if you aren't offended, there's still no defending a shirt like this. And that would go across the board if it were referencing something else like the Holocaust or 911.

Assuming his shirt wasn't photoshopped by his evil enemy , there was no choice but to fire him. I'm truly flabbergasted that this is even a debate.

Thank you!!! We are living in the age of POTUS saying there are very fine people on both sides of Charlottesville, so now people can get away with all manner of nonsense and say "But I'm not racist"

This is not a matter of opinion. This is not that dress that everyone debated the color of. This is a hateful picture representing the murders of people of color.

I mean how is this even a conversation?

"Hey, could we not be flippant about the systemic terrorizing and murders of POC?"

"Whoa, look out we got a triggered snowflake here who needs a safe space!"

IMO, anyone who is in any way defending, or not strongly denouncing this t-shirt, and this guy for wearing it, is a disgusting human being. You may feel emboldened by our current pathetic excuse for the POTUS, but you are on the WRONG side of history.
