3 nursing jobs in 2 years. Unhirable?

Without getting into too much detail:

I've had 3 jobs.

1. Assisted living facility: Fired after 2 years

2. Clinic: Quit after 3 months

3. Assistant living facility: Fired after 3 months

My resume looks bad. I wanted to not include my last job but when recruiters ask what I did during those 3 months, i reallly don't know what to say. I really don't want to discuss why I got fired (you can view my post to see how bad of a nursing I am).

At at my Core, I love my job and feel that with all the lessons I've learned, I will be a great fit someone else if given the opportunity. I am working for an agency as a per diem nurse and my job was cancelled this morning. I am afraid of not being able to pay my bills.

I just want to be successful and a good nurse. I tried to get mental help and no one seems to be able to help me. I'm just scared and depressed. Please forgive me.

If you're feeling alone and needing someone to talk to, then you need to find some resource in your community where you can talk with someone face to face. An internet forum is a fun hobby and can provide a lively exchange of ideas. It can even give you some virtual pats on the back. But we are clearly not adequate for what you need.

People here are willing to give you a few pearls of wisdom but we are not therapists and do not constitute a support system. You need to find someone near you who can provide the help you need. Since you are short on funds, start with your county public health department to given you some referrals. Check out the YMCA, Salvation Army and other organizations that may have resources for you.

Nooooo. You need to talk to people face to face! A forum isn't going to give you what you need but a support group might.

Hi Newbie. I really do feel for you. Reading through your posts there is a recurrent theme of very low self esteem along with anxiety and depression. You have mentioned that you had been getting help with your issues. Perhaps you just need to take a break from nursing for a while. I responded to another post a few days back and suggested that you should try something different for your next nursing job. Some have also suggested home care, caring for one patient. Is this something that would interest you and do you think you could manage it? True, you would be caring for only one patient but a lot of times these people will have complex conditions that will require you to really focus on your nursing skills. I am sorry that you are being judged here, but unfortunately that's what happens on a public forum where others can only read your words and go from there. I hope you can get the support you truly need in person where no judgment will be cast.

I feel like a jerk and just don't know what to do. Who knows if home health will work. Before I was a nurse, I was fired from every job. I've been on bad luck all my life. I don't expect people to understand.

You wrote "social" group. You need a structured support group so you can talk about your issues in a healthy way with others who will be able to understand you and give you what you need. And again with the snark? Unbelievable.
