Free Volunteer Nursing or Training

Hi there! Does anyone knows any hospital in Manila or Visayas that offer training or volunteer which I don't have to pay?

I think with the current scenario this is the most entry program for RNs but I am not willing to pay for it. I know there are hospitals that won't let you pay a cent. The true meaning of volunteer should stand for itself.

If there isn't, can you share info of the name of hospitals, how much you are paying and the duration of the training. Thanks in advance. This will surely help those who are focused in their nursing career.

Nars1019, how to know if you are accepted as nurse trainnie at bmc?i just pass all the requirements last may09. thankz

To answer your question, I need to know if you have completed and passed all requirements particularly, IVT license?

The Chief Nurse of BMC has reiterated this that nurse volunteers who wish to apply at BMC should be IVT licensed (ANSAP). So if you have completed the requirements, then you will be included in the next batch. This is what's weird about the NSO (Nursing Service Office) of BMC, they don't tell you if you're included in the next batch. In my own experience, I passed the requirements and a few days before the start of the training, I went to the NSO and they just told me to show up in the orientation in my white duty uniform at the JICA bldg.

If you have BLS or ACLS certification/s, the better, the NSO will assign you in special areas. That's what they're doing now unlike in previous batches (including myself) we were rotated in the special areas even without BLS or ACLS. Now the NSO requires certification for special area deployment.

I suggest you call the NSO to save you time and effort. Good luck and God bless.

thanks for the reply. i just got my ivt license yesterday. i only passed a copy of my ivt certification at NSO last may and they told us to return in complete uniform next monday.thanks and God bless!

I guess the hospital that you were saying was really the tala leprosarium before which is located in caloocan.

Try your luck at Ospital ng Sampaloc.

any fairview SM, then there's a jeep with a signage TALA in there. I had my duty days there before. I just don't remember the landmarks that much.
