Nurses Humor

:lol2: :lol2: Hey guys,

I just found out the FUNNIEST thing...

One of our dayshift nurse managers has a 4 year old son named Ben and twin two year old girls. She took them all to the Atlanta aquarium last weekend. Ben is very smart for a four-year old, and has a toy truck that he takes everywhere in a backpack. He was wearing the backpack to the aquarium. After they had been there about an hour, the nurse goes to tie her little girls' shoelaces and when she stands up, Ben is GONE. She freaks out, screaming his name frantically. About 8 or 10 minutes later he walks up out of nowhere like nothing had happened. She spanked him right there and insisted they leave immediately. During the 4 hour drive home she lectured him about what might have happened to him. When they get home, he wants to take a bath, which is not unusual for him because he loves bathtime. She goes in to wash his hair...

HE HAD A LIVE BABY PENGUIN IN THE TUB WITH HIM, PLAYING WITH IT!!!

He had stolen the baby penguin from the aquarium, put in in his backpack, and brought it home!!!

Her father happens to be a judge in Atlanta, and she called him in hysterics, he made some calls and a few hours later two men from the aquarium showed up to get the penguin and bring it back.

Is that not HILARIOUS?!?!?!?!?!? :lol2:

Kids cease to amaze sometimes!!!!!!!!!!!! Bet she checks out that back pack next time the go anywhere.:penguin: :penguin: :penguin: :penguin: :nono: :nono: :lol_hitti

I'm sure she will, she's still shaky over it... I think she imagined she would go to jail for stealing a penguin... wonder what the BON would say to THAT charge! :uhoh21:

Oh my!!!!!!!! I laughed so hard...what a sneeky little one!

Good thing it was a baby...Penquins are actually dangerous! Their beaks can go through a huge salmon in one chop and like hot knife through soft butter! When I worked in a zoo as a volunteer I asked what was the most dangerous animal in the zoo expecting to hear like lion, bear...etc...they al said "the penquins!!!" I laughed, but they told me that penquins do bite and you will loose something..then they all gang on you! I still see it as kinda funny....a herd of viscious penguins coming at you while you are saying 'ohhhhhhh how cute!'...but I guess they really are dangerous...

Oh, Lori, that is toooo funny! LOL

Wonder how he kept it quite for the 4 hour ride? Better yet, wonder how he was able to keep the twins from knowing & quite that long???

Triage, wow, who knew that penguins were that dangerous!?? And, the imagine you have given me about the herd on the attack while the victim is standing there marveling at their "cuteness"...LOL Kind of like a "twilight zone" spin on the movie "Birds."

I don't understand how he could have had access to a penguin. Whenever I've been to zoos or aquariums the penguins were behind big glass barriers - there was no way to reach out and grab one. The place must not have very good security if a 4yo can slip in somewhere and snatch a penguin.

Exactly what I was thinking...

That's what I was wondering, too...

I hope they took pictures though! Now THAT'S a story to tell for the rest of their lives.

Just happened upon this story.

"It is an irresistible water-cooler tale — a cute kid, a birdnapped penguin and downtown Atlanta's Georgia Aquarium. And it's as bogus as one of those stuffed belugas they sell in the gift shop."

"The original urban legend began in England in the early 1990s, according Snopes.com, a Web site that debunks such wildly circulated tales"

"have very sharp beaks. Only the caretakers would be able to handle them without getting bitten."
