Dr Hui (pronounced "Wee") was a urologist whose wife, a nurse, worked as his office manager. Her name was Pi (pronounced "Pee"). Nurse Cox worked for a different team.

Chris Feely always favoured complementary therapies - especially therapeutic massage, while Nurse Fang was more at home with Cosmetic Surgery.

Ed worked with a nun who's last name was Fuchs. He did not know how to pronounce her name - so he asked. And he wanted to die.

Mary Slaughter could never get a post on the Surgical Unit, and Nurse Cutts was never the 'First Pick' Midwife.

Sharon Ward - when she gets promoted - will be Sr. Ward.

Not forgetting Melina, who works on a general medical ward and Nurse Nurse - she goes where she's sent!

We have a geriatrician here called Dr Death. But he pronounces it deeth. I wonder if that is the real pronunciation or if he felt he had to change it :)

In Australia we have a bowel specialists called Dr. Lipzhits. Really, no kidding. :D

At one of the hospitals where I did my clinicals, the main OB/GYN team was DRs Kutsche (Pronounce cootchie)and Feely. I am NOT kidding!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh NO! We ahd a patient named Harry Peters on the Medicare floor at the SNF i just left. It was so hard to talk about his case because his name caused eruptions of giggles every time. Thank God he didn't stay long!

We recently had a patient named B A pickle and last year we had a patient named Bud Fuchs! WE also have a cardiovascular surgeon named Dr. Hartsuck. :D

These posts bring back memories! There was a Nurse Instructor at U Of Pitt. in Pittsburgh, Pa. Mary Scarry. A Vet.-Dr. Savage at Titusville, Pa. (he was wonderful). Here in Spartanburg S.C. Dr. Cook-dermatologist- laser surgery. Dr. Giep-OB/Gyn. his partner is Dr. Sereque! Another dermatologist - Dr. Stretcher. Also Dr. Smiley- Orthodontist- Another dentist- Dr. Jabbour

I am nurse Grim, and yes patients have made comments LOL!!!!!!!

I worked in OKC in the 80's and our cardiac surgeon was Dr. Hartsuck too...are you by any chance from OKC?
