CNA vs A&P Teaching Assistant

I am a CNA and have been looking for a CNA position on and off for the last year. No one will give me a chance because I have no experience. The Spring term will be my last semester for taking prerequisites for nursing school and I have been offered a teaching assistant position for Anatomy & Physiology I & II. Does that type of work look good to employers and nursing schools? I love anatomy and physiology but taking the job would mean that I probably won't be able to work as a CNA for another 6 months. What are your thoughts?

Hi. You don't mention where you are located but I can identify with you as here in Miami, most hospitals are phasing out LPNs and hiring Patient care techs (CNAs). I,ve been an LPN for 3 years and can get work with either nursing homes or home health agencies. They hire CNAs too. Maybe if you haven't already, you can try there. The advantage I find with home health is that it is very flexible and you can pretty much set your own hours which is convenient during nursing school. Good luck & I wish you the best. ?
