If anyone else applying for the nursing corps scholarship 2015-2016 is anything like me then you've been googling like crazy trying to find out information on how to apply or what they need or even previous years winner. Soooooo.....if anyone is applying this year around or previously has and was or wasn't accepted please tell me your experience! Here are my stats PLEASE share yours if you'd like....

Nothing yet from this scholarship I think. Last year the first round heard July 20th or 21st so maybe sometime this week

Did you get accepted into an accelerated program Justine?

Did you get accepted into an accelerated program Justine?

No I'm in a full time ADN program that allows me to be in an ATB program so I can start taking my rn to bsn classes at the same time

Good luck everyone hopefully today we hear something.

Just checked my HRSA account and it's still "under review." I also checked my credit karma but no credit check yet. Still waiting :whistling:

Hopefully we all hear something soon. So many of us are praying for this and I hope we all get it.

I am making myself sick with anticipation and worry about this scholarship...like my stomach catches butterflies every time I get a notification from allnurses or when I check creditkarma or my application status.

Just finding this thread!! I applied as well and growing anxious waiting to hear a result. My status still says "under review" I havent had a credit check from HRSA either >.

Omg you just described me. I literally check my email and status 5 times a day and I get sick to my stomach waiting for it to load :dead:

Hi! I am so glad I googled this thread I been looking for awhile...well everyones credentials sound great and as of today, I am still under review with no credit check what does it mean to have a credit check done? I am starting a MEPN program this August and my undergrad gpa was 3.9 with research into Type 2 diabetes in the African American community. My EFC is zero. I wonder if MEPN programs are okay since they are not traditional MSN's they are masters for people with undergrads in a different major thats not nursing going into nursing. Any who good luck to everyone I hope to hear good news soon it is nerve wrecking and I've been thinking about it often

They check your credit to see if you have any delinquent federal debt. However, not everyone gets a credit check. Honestly I am not sure why they check some applicants credit and not others, but I do know it is a good sign if they check yours. If anyone else has any information on this part of the process I'm interested as well in it.

I'm also not sure about your major. I do know that preference goes to Nurse Practitioner programs, Full time BSN and ASN programs, and that in previous years no one outside of those groups were awarded the scholarship

We're all waiting spiced4luv, ugh the anxiety. Will anyone be working in their program?
