so, my friend & i were studying for our finals yesterday. i was eating yummy peanut m&ms & came across the funkiest m&m ever. it had a weird mass on it. so, we actually gave it a few nursing dx!!!! at risk for altered body image was one, & of course we went on & on about it. how nuts are we??? oh well, only nursing students could understand. gotta love it. My husband is a salesperson who rents big equipment, and while we were at lunch a customer called to take a forklift off rent. He asked me to remind him.

After lunch I told him "oh, don't forget to DC that forklift!" Of course, he had no idea what I was talking about and looked at me like I was nuts. Took me a few minutes to realize why!

reminds me of when I was in nursing school in the 70's. Everyone swore off green m&m's for some reason. I can't remember the reason, something about them affecting your memory....

around my parts, the green m & m's were the good luck ones! You were supposed to put it in your cheek, hold it there, while you made a wish!

The greenies were for good luck, not affecting memory....that was in the south...don't know if that matters or not...sometimes these urban legends get twisted around and by the time they make it to another part of the country, it's something totally different than how it started out! Kinda like rumors!

On my floor, the green ones were blamed for the large number of pregnancies our staff had all at once.

My mom took me to Italy, the first thing I thought when I saw Michaelangelo's David was "wow, that's a lot of pedal edema! and I could put a 14 gauge IV in that hand without a tournequet!".
