nurses visas? all used up?

Published

I am a nurse from tha philippines. I already have my visa certificate. Last month I received a letter form the national visa center informing me of my status.. Included is my petitioner's name, visa case number etc. My priority date is october,2006. Now I have heard that all visa for nurses were use up.. Now Im wondering if this will affect my application? Do you have any idea when will the I-140 visas will be available again?

your reply will be appreciated. Many thanks.

My I-140 was filed last August 1,2006 and up to now no approval yet.

Do you know for a fact that all of the informsation was included with the petition? Many times the attorney gets asked to provide additional information or documentation but they do not notify the nurse. With an August date, you should have had approval already, at least in most cases.

DS230 is packet 3 so would say yes you need to sign it plus anyone else who is going with you, depends if your fee has been paid as DS230 will not be asked until it has been paid, No reason tho why lawyer couldn't get it ready now

so maybe the fee has not been paid yet?so will dat affect the processing of my papers......anyway thank you so much

Yes it will affect your processing as nothing will be done until fee is paid this in turn means you will get visa later rather than sooner once retrogression is sorted

Is your aunt your employer? You only have approval for the job, and nothing more. The fee needs to be paid for the visa before the USCIS will issue the DS-230, and then that needs to be completed and approved before you can go onto anything else.

The I-140 is only the initial petition for the job, and that alone. You are just at the beginning of the process, not the end.

Nothing further will get done until they get their money.

i think my aunt's friend is my employer...thanks for the help!!...have a nice day ahead...

All of the above mentioned packets need to be done by the employer, there is nothing that you can do to facilitate any of it. Green cards for nurses are employer-driven. You will need to have an employer petition you.

tanks suzanne, you're a blessing

hey happy me do you have already an employer?

since there is retrogression, may i ask how long will it take if the petition will start til packet3? thanks
