Just wanted to get some opinions on this one. What is your opinion on nurses dating doctors/residents? FYI - I'm definately not in this situation, but am a new nurse and just kind of curious because I see it happen a lot already.
Definatley happens, we all can name a few gold digging nurses. But the op said "we hear so much about....." I honestly have heard of it, but don't hear so much about it. Maybe because most of my peers come from the BSN school here that is very hard to get into, and the community college ADN with more "mature students".
I hear ya. The reactions of the older students was priceless LOL.
Oh good. I'm glad to see that this is just another angle of the same topic. I think it's important that we discuss this issue thoroughly......
Honestly, I just wanted some opinions about the issue.....SO sorry I didn't search through the million+ threads on allnurses to make sure I wasn't posting a "double". I'll know better next time.
I don't see the big deal about it. Two people meet at work, their personalities click, there is chemistry. The only logical thing to do after that is to date!
Sometimes I see threads on here that totally bash doctors with comments like "oh, i could never stand being married to a doctor", etc. I never understand those comments - doctors are people too - there are going to be nice ones and there are going to be jerks - like in all professions.
There are at least 5-10 of us for each doctor. I guess if your an incredibly pretty girl you could actually think you stand a shot at that. Personally, so many doctors or self righteous and self centered I can't imagine they would make very good lovers. I don't care how much money a guy ( well or girl ) has. If they are a crappy lover, it just ain't worth it.
