Hi! I need to interview a nurse for an intro to nursing course. If someone could answer the following questions and upload a picture of themselves it'd be a huge help!
1. Where do you work?
2. Type of practice? (Hospital, school, etc)
3. Educational background
4. What's a typical workday like for you?
5. Do you participate in any nursing organizations?
6. What do you like most about nursing?
7. What would you like to change about the field of nursing?
8. Any advice for a nursing student/ future nurse?
OP, it's amazing the tangents you can go off on during a face to face interview. I had to do one for my MSN in education. I had the list of required questions, but as we sat and talked, I got a lot more insight into the world of staff education. I actually ended up switching my focus from academic eduction to staff development because of it. And uploading a photo is going to drastically reduce the amount of anonymity that can be had on a site like this- you aren't likely to get anyone willing to do that.
Where can you find a nurse to talk to face to face? Your own provider's office, the local school, the public health department, hospitals, nursing homes, at your own church if you attend, lots of places. Offer to buy them a cup of coffee in return for a few minutes. You'll find someone willing.

Do you think that Maddiegirl was using us for a quickie?
I feel so... dirty.

OldDude, with all due respect, we are discussing a nurse interview and not looking up kissin' cousins, so, please, stay on topic.
Don't make me have to use my pointer!
