Hi Everyone, I'm planning to apply for the HRSA NurseCorp Scholarship this year. I figured I would go ahead and start the next thread for this award year. I'm currently finishing up some of my prereqs and will be starting my BSN program in June. I know the application date hasn't been released yet but from what I have seen on other threads, it should be opened sometime in March/April with a deadline in May. I've also read that the prompt questions have been the same from one award year to the next so I have begun working on them as well as trying to figure out who I would like to use as recommendations. I would love to hear from all who plan to apply this year.

Has anyone that has applied for the NURSE Corps scholarship received a credit check yet? If so, are you looking at creditkarma, under hard inquiries?

I dont think anyone who applied for the Nurse Corps scholarship has received a credit check yet. From part applicants, it seems that they all saw the credit check on Credit Karma.

I noticed on the SDN board that they are supposed to be running a second credit check today for the NHSC scholarship (some people's account was locked out and they were contacted regarding a second check being run today). I am hoping that they may run our credit check today as well!

In the application packet it says that applicants would be notified starting in late August so I am thinking they should start our credit checks really soon.

Curious, where in the program guidelines did you read that? Ive read through that booklet so many times and never saw it. Is that for the NURSE Corps Scholarship Program?

When I called with an application question they said they may start notifications earlier. And I read that some were notified as early as July 31 last year. I don't remember if that was NHSC or NURSE Corps though

It is in the nurse corps booklet on page 37 paragraph two. It is right after the 4 things you must do after you receive notification of award.

Wowowowow. I completely missed that whole sentence. I must have been reading what I wanted to read. Thank you! Now I can definitely relax. It doesn't help though that when several propels have called, they said different answers. Someone told me they already sent out the first round of awards.

Is it true that if you forgot to put the info in the top of one of the documents you're disqualified? If so, major major bummer.

Where can I find into on past applicants who received awards (and their stats)?
