Nurse Corps Scholarship 2018-2019

Hi Everyone, I'm planning to apply for the HRSA NurseCorp Scholarship this year. I figured I would go ahead and start the next thread for this award year. I'm currently finishing up some of my prereqs and will be starting my BSN program in June. I know the application date hasn't been released yet but from what I have seen on other threads, it should be opened sometime in March/April with a deadline in May. I've also read that the prompt questions have been the same from one award year to the next so I have begun working on them as well as trying to figure out who I would like to use as recommendations. I would love to hear from all who plan to apply this year.

I will say that even though he said that, I'm not entirely sure I believe him. After he said people were already being notified, he said that this is usually the time they start to because it's July. I think if someone else were to call, they'd get a different answer. I'm hoping and praying that it isn't the case and that we'll be all be apart of the first round of notifications.

Me too! Fingers crossed. He's probably going off of previous years. Smh

I had a credit check so I'm a little more hopeful than I was before. Applied for NHSC scholarship and NURSE Corps scholarship. My applications still say under review though. I would love to know either way.

When was your credit Check? Today? Where did you see it under credit karma?

I got notified by Capital One that a lender requested my credit history but I haven't seen it on credit karma. My Credit Karma and Capital One account account hasn't updated yet though.

God, I'm praying and believing we get it.

Credit checks were run for the NHSC scholarship last Monday. I haven't seen anyone post anywhere about credit check for the Nurse Corps scholarship yet.

I applied for both. My credit check was from Credco on 7/16

Congrats! I was letting the other responder know that that is probably why you received a credit check already, for the NHSC scholarship, and that, to my knowledge, the Nurse Scholar program applicants haven't received one yet.
