Hi Everyone, I'm planning to apply for the HRSA NurseCorp Scholarship this year. I figured I would go ahead and start the next thread for this award year. I'm currently finishing up some of my prereqs and will be starting my BSN program in June. I know the application date hasn't been released yet but from what I have seen on other threads, it should be opened sometime in March/April with a deadline in May. I've also read that the prompt questions have been the same from one award year to the next so I have begun working on them as well as trying to figure out who I would like to use as recommendations. I would love to hear from all who plan to apply this year.
I think some people keep referring to the instructions for the NHSC scholarship, where you are instructed to put your name and last 4 of social on every document. The nurse corps scholarship wanted the applicant ID and name on the essays, not last 4 of social, and did not mention other documents. It also requested the essays in word document or pdf.
Thank you! I saw this a few times mentioned here and I started to worry and thought I did the wrong thing (even though I read he guidelines and followed them).

I got worried too and looked it up several times before and after submitting. This is the best info I could find! Hopefully, I'm correct!
REQUIRED SUPPORTING DOCUMENTATION
a. It is the applicant's responsibility to upload required supporting documents by
7:30 p.m. ET on June 14, 2018. Failure to submit a complete application package by the deadline will deem the applicant ineligible, and he/she will not be considered for a NCSP award. Applicants must upload all supporting documents at the time of the online application submission. Each document submitted must include the applicant's First Name, Last Name, Discipline and last 4 digits ONLY of social security number.

Stay positive ! You never know
My heart is breaking. I read the guide thoroughly so many times. The instructions online said to put the applicant ID, so that is what I did. I am disappointed and frustrated with myself that I missed this somehow, and so sad about all of my hard work and the hard work of others on my behalf gone because did not do both. I truly spent a great deal of time making sure I followed every instruction and am not sure how I failed at the time. I am very detail-oriented.
So a woman I just spoke with on the phone said that the lack of information at the top of those documents does NOT necessarily mean you will be disqualified. Just that it helps them organize the paperwork. The ID number was supposed to be at the top of the essays because a different group of people review the essays from the other supporting documents, so they do not want to know who they are looking at, just the content.
She also said we will be hearing from now until September 30th. She did not seem concerned that I forgot to put that information at the top of the paperwork. With that being said, if anyone wants to call again to confirm or see if they get different information, that would be greatly appreciated. I would feel much better knowing more than 1 person agrees.
Hope this helps!
