  1. Hey, so I'm an actual previous recipient of this scholarship (I got it for my BSN) and I applied for it now for my last year of CRNA school. No one knows what they focus on specifically for selecting folks. My BSN application, I had no volunteer experience listed on their. Don't let anyone or anything psych you out, just wait to see. My year, they did credit pulls at least 2 different times, so if you didn't get pulled this round, you could get pulled the next one. Also a credit check doesn't guarantee you being a finalist.
  2. It's not about your credit score. It's just making sure you haven't defaulted on any federal loans or things like that
  3. Oh, no problem! Just wanted to clear it up in case someone is thinking this.
  4. So the loan repayment and the nurse scholarship have their credit run differently. They don't run the credit for the scholarship and for repayment at the same time. If you have a credit card, you can check your credit report or use Expedian or credit karma to check. I get an email from my credit monitoring whenever an inquiry is made.
  5. So when I got the award, my financial aid had already been applied to my account (loans and grants) but my school returned my loans and used the HRSA payment instead. They'll award you whatever your school submits as your cost of attendance. I'd talk to you financial aid advisor and explain to them that they should put the maximum for your cost of attendance so the gran will cover everything. You can choose to still keep the grant but that'll be deducted from your cost of attendance. HRSA didn't submit a payment until October so yeah. Talk to your advisor now and explain to them the award and that you applied for it.
  6. It's always been august/September. When I got it, I used financial aid and then the school returned my financial aid when they received payment from HRSA
  7. Thank you! I think my SAI was -3000 but my sai now is -1500. I got the notification at the beginning of August and then the funds were sent to my school in October. It wasn't really difficult. I used the website and printed out the cities I was willing to move to and went from there.
  8. Hi everyone, I'm about to be a senior SRNA and I've applied for this scholarship. I previously received it for my BSN. It's so incredibly helpful and really not as complicated as some might make it out to be. If you have any questions, I'd be happy to answer them!
  9. When I applied for it last year, the only email I got was towards the end of the year saying I wasn't selected so I'm hoping that this email isn't auto generated for everyone who applied.
  10. No. But that was in 2018. I don't know how much has changed since then. I got a credit pull first and then an email about accepting the award. Did the cohort last year get this email?
  11. Hi everyone! I'm a CRNA student who actually was awarded this scholarship for my undergrad nursing program and I applied again for it this year for my CRNA program. I just got the same email! So fingers crossed!!
  12. You don't. I was a recipient for my nursing degree and I'm reapplying for my doctorate degree. You just have to be accepted into an accredited nursing program that will be starting by or before either August or September.
  13. Same!
  14. I keep getting the same "An error has occurred when processing your request. Please try again", I've tried on my phone and computer.
  15. I just got my offer of acceptance. Can you send me the fb link for the group? I can’t find it.
