Hi Everyone,
I didn't see a thread created for the 2019 Nurse Corps Loan Repayment Program yet. This will be my 3rd year applying. I'm applying as a staff RN with a HPSA score of 17. Hopefully, they open the application cycle soon.
I work at a FQHC
FNP
site score of 17 for primary care and 23 for mental health.
It would be amazing if they would look at the mental health site score but since I’m Primary care I don’t believe they do.
My DTI is about 145%.
I had two credit checks and no word since. I don’t think primary care NPs have been awarded yet, at least I don’t know of any.

DTI at time of application 117%
I applied for both Nurse Corps and NHSC (regular, not SUD, regretting that now!). Did anyone else apply for both? I haven’t seen anyone saying they got the regular NHSC LRP yet.
I applied to both as well and haven’t heard of any NP getting either
FNP, finishing up a residency program (last day August 17) at an Indian Health Service hospital, Primary Care HPSA site score 17, hoping to stay on here pending loan repayment opportunity.
Applied for NHSC LRP, notified that I was a finalist (back in March), accepted award (which took me out of the running for Nurse Corps, but I figured 50K was better than nothing), status changed from 'under review' to 'accepted award - pending final review.' Until this past weekend. Now it's back to saying, 'Under review.' ?
I also applied for the NHSC Rural Community LRP. HRSA emailed me about this opportunity after having accepted the NHSC award "Hey, we saw you applied for this, here's another thing you can apply for and it won't take you out of the running for the first thing you applied for." I'm wondering if that 2nd application is what made them re-review me totally? That's why NHSC back down to 'under review?'
I don't know. I feel like I'm about to lose it. My DTI is at least 275%. I'm on the verge of some fairly disastrous financial implications. I _really_ need to have some positive news soon....recipient of one of these + official job offer with generous recruitment bonus. I'd really love to do something self-care-ish. Just.....a pedicure...._some_thing. It's been a long year.
I don’t think it matters, going through past years they did on some people but not others and both would get awards or not. I would imagine maybe they pull a second one if your credit isn’t that good? I had some issues financially prior to starting my job so my credit isn’t very good. Maybe that’s why I got the second check to make sure I was still paying them and they hadn’t defaulted?

If you applied to more than one program each program checks your credit. I also called today to see why my contract wasn’t countersigned yet, but was told I should be notified by sept 30 of final status... I did appt to the SUD LRP and started the rural community LRP app but became a finalist for the SUD LRP before completing the application.

If that's the case my DTI is 113%, If they consider ALL loans even the one with cosigners, my DTI is 161%. Do you know anything about that?
Hi Erika C, on page 5 and 6 the co-signer topic is discussed. Sounds like there's some mixed messages coming from the LRP reps about co-signed loans, but I'm going with kclouse's discussion -- more hopeful for us!
No news for me other than a credit check in late May. RN at an FQHC, primary care score 15/mental health 17. DTI 170% (with cosigned loans). 3rd year applying.
Congrats to all that have been awarded and peaceful thoughts to all who are still anxiously waiting ?
