2018 Nurse Corps Loan Repayment Program

Hi all,

I've been reading up on the Nurse Corps Loan Repayment Program and looks like in past years, threads have been started for the yearly application process. I'll be applying as a Staff RN (non-faculty) working at a DSH with an HPSA Score of 16. Not sure of my DTI percentage yet. Hoping to connect with others that will be applying to the program next month and we can all share our updates here. Best of luck to everyone!

My contract was countersigned as of September 6. I received my finalist email on August 31st. Feeling so grateful!!!!!! May the blessing continue for those who continue to wait.

I did not receive a welcome email however my portal changed to participant.

Hi,

in general consesnus- if we haven't had a credit check yet we probably aren't under consideration.. my application says under review but I do not think I've had a credit check. Does every application say under review? My title is RN. Anxious since it's already September.

Mine is sadly still "under review" as well :(

Holding onto a shred of hope. The post with the stats from last year was pretty disheartening when you can actually see the numbers of how few applicants were awarded.

Does anyone know if they do not consider graduate level nursing loans for the NCLRP? I was just curious and had not seen that anywhere.

Graduate Level Nursing loans are considered for NCLRP. Just got my contract countersigned couple days ago and I was in an entry level MSN program. All of my loans were graduate loans

Hi group, I also received an finalist email yesterday . This is my 3rd year applying. I am a NP, DTI 175%, facility HPSA 16. I can say please do not give up hope. Continue to check emails because you only get about 48 hrs to accept.

I have seen the question "Has anyone ever received the status award accepted awaiting final review and not received an award?" I have had that status since 7/9/2018. Just seeking any insight from someone who has had this experience.

Just curious. Any CRNAs on here get a response this year? I am a CRNA and NP. Applied as a CRNA because that is my primary role in the hospital. DTI 165%. Tier 1. Application still says "Under Review". Do they ever approve anyone this late in the game?
