Hi all,

I've been reading up on the Nurse Corps Loan Repayment Program and looks like in past years, threads have been started for the yearly application process. I'll be applying as a Staff RN (non-faculty) working at a DSH with an HPSA Score of 16. Not sure of my DTI percentage yet. Hoping to connect with others that will be applying to the program next month and we can all share our updates here. Best of luck to everyone!

So what does your award status say now?

Mine has not changed. I am guessing that since they got countersigned late Friday afternoon, we won't hear anything until Tuesday.

Question-DTI....

I'm married and trying to figure what my score might be. My taxes are filed jointly. I guess they consider me and my wife's debt and income? Correct? Sorry if this is a silly question.

I've always told that it is solely your income versus your school debt.

That's great! Mine currently says: "Accepted Award - Under Final Review"--what would it say after the next step?

Wait--I see it was cosigned on August 31st as well. But no change for my application, still says "Accepted Award--Under Final Review". For those who have already been through the process, what should be looking out for next?

I am in the same boat as you, but I think I recall someone saying the status should change to "participant" after you get the welcome packet.

When you log in to the portal, you will see a link with your signed contract. At the bottom, you will see your electronic signature. If there is an additional electronic signature below yours, that is the co-signer.

Hey. Did anyone recently receive the finalist email....or is it over this year already :( I Feel that there have been more posts in previous years with people receiving awards

I received a finalist email on 8/29 for the nurse corps loan repayment. HSPA of 19 & DTI ratio of 150%. Waiting for mine to be countersigned. I am an RN.
