Hey I was wondering who has applied to the Nursing Program @ Nova starting fall 2010?

I would like to know of any updates any one has heard on the process, interviews, etc.

Hey Mvaz, yeah a lot of info has been posted, can you believe it lol... we have so much info to share with one another... i am currently changing my messenger to Windows Live with MAC but you can email me at whichever.... my new Windows Live is Butterflyrn so i check both if you want to talk. I have no problem with it.. Also, i just found out that UM nursing finally got off probabtion they passed their NCLEX in Nov with a 90% however, on the site it states that you need 2 math's in order to apply which is college algebra and STATS, i found out that they accept you with just the MAC.... i am still going to verify tomorrow. So i will keep all of you posted. By the way a friend of mine from Micro class just got her denial letter from Nova... but she knew it was coming. he failed Micro with a D and then retook it.. so i think thats what happened there. Of course if i hear anything there i will let you know.. right now I am looking into other schools and have already registered for other classes in the summer. Cant afford to sit around and wait because now the waiting lists are just getting longer and longer... and the TEAS test that has been implemented is CRAZY hard. Well Mvaz if you need anything let me know and good luck AGAIN and stay positive people!! We can do it! :yeah::nurse:

I received an email this morning with my WebStar & NSU email account information. I didn't want to get too excited because there was a disclaimer at the bottom that read:

--- This notice does not imply admittance to NSU. ---

So I logged into my VIP page to check my status and it said "Congratulations on your acceptance". It also says to call or email regarding the final decision so I'm not screaming yet .. lol .. I am a little excited though since last week the status said my application was still pending. I guess we'll see .. I'm going to call during my lunch break - will keep you posted.

By the way, in logging into my WebStar account I was able to find out classes start 8/23/10 in case anyone was wondering. GOOD LUCK to everyone!! Let me know if anyone else has recieved anything.

I also received this email but it didn't let me see my status (maybe im doing it wrong). I received the same email again this morning!

I checked my VIP page but since im still taking classes that are required it still says "Missing documents". I will finish these class at the end of this month and will send them an updated transcript.

I am going to call in Today just to make sure everything is ok.

Now im really nervous!

I finished my pre-reqs last semester. I know they won't make a decision until they recieve your updated transcripts so I'm sure that's why your status still says its pending. I'm going to call them in a little while so I'll let you know what they tell me.

If you don't mind me asking - what is your current GPA and when did you apply? I applied at the end of February with a 3.55. My friend finished all her pre-reqs and applied in January and they are still telling her its pending. Oh and she didn't receive the email. I think its different for every applicant - I've tried coming up with a criteria based on other applicants but its impossible because they're all over the place!

Well, I have a 3.2 GPA but at the end of these classes it should be a high 3.4 since I have A's in all of the current classes. I also applied at the end of Feb. I think on the 23 or something like that.

I just called and they didn't know much. The girl just said that my application is in for review and that they might want my transcripts after these class. (I know they NEED those transcripts). I told her I received an email from Webstar stating to sign in and that it didn't say anything and she just told me that they probably would let me know after May 1.

So I am lost and nervous!!! I have no repeats so I know if they do not pick me it's not because, of that.

Has anyone else received an email from Webstar? Has anybody called to ask???

How many pre-reqs are you finishing up this semester? From what I've heard they will not make a decision until you finish your pre-reqs. You will most likely not see a change in your VIP status until then so just make sure to order your transcripts as soon as your grades are posted - don't waste any time!! If you're getting all A's then your GPA will be on point. Try not to stress too much and stay positive!!

Thanks! Well im currently taking Psychology, Sociology, and Humanities. There not MAIN science ones but they still count.

I am PRAYING I get accepted!

I just called and they're system is down so they couldn't give me any information :( I want to know already!! I'm going to try back in an hour or so.
