Hello to anyone taking this also. I understand this is a busy course. I am currently trying to find out what the reading assignments are so I can get a jump start as I am doubling up with 4520 (Health Assessment) also. There goes my summer..but next summer...I will be done!

Week one: Chapters 1,2,4,6,7 in textbook. Family Health Care nursing. Author: Kaakinen.
Other readings assigned as well from websites etc. Keep in mind...I took this class in January 2012. Likely, it has not changed.

I just got my book and the content actually looks interesting this time. I didn't really enjoy 4510 and 4580 due to the content being uninteresting to me. EmJeanRN, thanks for telling us what chapters to read. I don't think reading all those chapters will be so bad after all.

I am in 4520 class as well this summer
Plus 4560. Im done with 4530. It wasn't bad at all. Writing about same assign family case study is tiring.

I'm confused about the Therapeutic Letter we have to write for 4530. Are supposed to actually include the Nursing Diagnosis and Interventions in the letter? How do we do that and keep it sounding like a letter? 4520 is not difficult; just a lot of busy work. I enjoyed 4560. It was pretty easy.

I am taking this class, too. I have no idea what assignments are involved here. Is the family case study something I should be looking into now? Thanks!

I'm taking this class now also. Surprised to find it up a couple days ago! Hopefully this is a good sign! Does anyone know what "alignment" means under each assignment? Found it under tools: grading, along with rubrics. Never saw it laid out this way and when you click on it, there is nothing there at this time. Just curious.

I'm in this class as well, good luck to everyone!
I, too, have never seen the "alignment" tab on the grading page. Also, has anyone been able to find out what group they are in starting with the week 2 assignment?
if you go to the group tab that you can now see on blackboard, it tells you your group.
but to see the assignment for next week go to the dicussion board and scroll down to week two and find your family. I think the questions are the same for each group - just have to be about your assigned family.
