I'm planning on graduating next week summa cum BS!!! Just how many ways is there to describe win-win, win-lose, etc....?

So it's Friday night and I just now see the email from the professor sent today telling us we are not allowed to use ANY direct quotes in our discussion boards and that the TAs have been told to deduct points if we do. Really? I realize by this class we are supposed to keep the quotes to a minimum, but it would have been nice to let us know this new rule before Friday night of Week 3.

I load everything into Dropbox. Therefore, everything is backed up and I can access it from any computer. I have responded to a lot of discussion boards on my lunch break at work!

It is really frustrating that we are told to follow a rubric that doesn't correlate with the assignment directions. I have wasted an inordinate amount of time in this program trying to make sense of directions.

[h=5]4580 students: for the week 3 DB regarding CQI: the first section of the rubric states "Responds to the assignment guidelines 1-11 thoroughly and completely" and "Thoroughly summarizes findings from questionnaire and answers to 11 questions." Am I missing something? Where are these 11 questions? I have read the chapters in the book as well as the attached readings and can't find this. Suggestions?[/h]

Hello Everyone: In the syllabus for 4580 it says we cannot post our original DB post and two responses on the same day. However, I have been doing it that way for every nursing class and have never had points deducted. A student in my group pointed this section of the syllabus out to the TA who is going to speak with the lead TA. Has anyone else had issues with this?

Hi MSTRN: I am also in this class. Did you get the email from the professor last week? In it she discussed how to select a mentor, the role they will play in our project, as well as how to go about selecting a capstone project. Let me know if you did not receive it and I will send you the link.

Thanks. I am looking forward to being done. Music was by far the easiest class I have taken, as well as the most enjoyable. It was a welcome break from the DB posts and papers. You have to read the book, listen to the music, and take a weekly test. If I remember correctly, however, you get multiple attempts on the tests. I agree with everyone else regarding Assessment...very time consuming.

Regarding the Week 4 Quiz: Without giving anything away, STUDY GUIDE, STUDY GUIDE, STUDY GUIDE! I initially thought this class (4550) was going to be very difficult, however, I think it is easier than Diversity (4570). I had the TA from hell who deducted points at whim, many times erroneously. Every week I had to send her emails regarding my assignment grade with the appropriate section from Purdue Owl to verify that I had, indeed, done the assignment correctly. It was the first A- I received at OU, blowing my 4.0 GPA. Oh well, only two more classes until I am finished.

Cincynursemary: That is hilarious! I am 54 years old and can totally relate to what you said. Thanks for the laugh!

I also thought the Literature Review was pretty easy. I made sure that I only used CINAHL and MEDLINE as my search engines, as I got the impression they wanted us to use primary sources. I am anxious to see how this TA grades our work for this class.
