I'm in it with you guys! Just finished 451. This will be my 2nd class.

My coworker just finished legal/transitions......she had a tough time!

I'm taking this class next. still feeling my way through. I'm an oldtimer. This is my first course since Nursing School, 35 years ago. I love to write, so the writing wasnt so hard for me, but the APA format is a killer.

For those of you who took the course before, is the format similar to Transitions? DB's and papers?

Scrub..When did you take this class? I didn't have to read that book either.

Cinci..All of the classes pretty much have the same format…Discussions, papers, quizzes...

In Excellence there are NO QUIZZES…And some instructors don't require you to provide quotes for discussion board...

Legal/Ethics is also a good class…Not overly difficult and topic is interesting…But ONCE AGAIN…TA basically sets the ton

This is from the syllabus when I took the class. One of the assignments was to interview a person from another culture and write a paper.

Assignments 4 @ 20 pts each = 80 total

1 @ 50 pts each = 50 total

52%

Quizzes 2 @ 30 pts each = 60 total 24%

Discussion Boards 4 @ 10 pts each = 40 total

1 @ 20 pts each = 20 total

24%

Total Points 250 Points 100%

PLEEZZEE................ tell me about statistics. Was it hard? It's got me freaked out. I'm taking it this summer. I am not good at Math.. never was. What kind of assignments did you have and how much time did you spend on homework?

I am taking stats in the summer over ten weeks. Do you think that will be doable?? I am glad that community is out of the way. Worst class yet in my opinion.

Stats are OU is hard but DOABLE if you don't fall behind on the assignments. Make sure you UNDERSTAND the assignments, b/c the test are 2hrs OPEN BOOK/OPEN NOTES. And they give A LOT of particle credit on the test. NONE on the homework. On the homework you can't show your work. You basically just submit the answer. So if the answer is wrong on the homework, you don't get any credit. But, if the answer is WRONG on the test, but you show your steps, you get particle credit.

I joined EVERY statistics forum known to man, and had my finance husband check over my assignments to make sure I at least did well on my homework.

My instructor gave us assess to the class/assignment about 5 days before class started and HIGHLY suggested that students get a jump start. So by the time class started, I was already on module 5.
