Hello there,
I am an RN post probationary discipline. Thinking about going to NP school for masters, but worried if I'll get another probationary term with my NP license which would be a deal breaker since I was on probation with my RN license. Anyone experience this same problem. I would love any feedback!! thanks!

Exactly.. Ohio BON won't tell me a thing. I was directed to the website. Which gives no information at all. What a joke.

Same here. So many hurdles already traversed. Now to get re-admitted to school. (I was nearly finished), petition for my classes to still count, redo numerous classes, insurance to clinical (will I even be allowed, who will accept me), actually graduating, being deemed eligible to test, receive a license/dea, find work...
I really just don't know...
I am curious about these issues as well, I did find insurance (tentatively), it will cost me a kidney and some plasma, but I have a broker that found a couple of companies that will write a policy to cover me for clinicals. I just need to verify with school that I won’t have any issues going back in Feb. I honestly think it depends on which state you live in on how the board will deal with this. I was told that I will be able to test for my NP and they hold my certificate until I’m done with monitoring. Now will my NP license have restrictions, and will I be able to get a DEA number and credentialed? Who knows.
Finish my MSN and take it from there. It shouldn’t be a problem with school, my grades were good and the program director signed an acknowledgement of me being in monitoring, the only barrier was I couldn’t get malpractice insurance for clinicals. The BON encouraged me to stay in school, I just hope its not an issue once I graduate.
After countless interviews and tons of research I finally found a program that listened to my story And took a chance on me
I am in my fourth semester starting clinicals now
