Does anyone know of a nurse practitioner program that sets up clinicals and preceptors for its students? Thanks so much.

lweatherby 150 Posts Specializes in Oncology. Has 3 years experience. Feb 22, 2013 I have the same question. I am interested in any school in any state that sets up clinicals/preceptors. I do not want the headache of trying to set up my own. I have been accepted into a program near my home. However, they do not set up clinicals and I am hearing from others in the program that it is a nightmare. Thanks for any input.

Keep in mind that they encourage you to find places that are closer to you geographically, and if you are interested in a certain place they will try and help you. They will usually place you in a facility close to the school, which in in Galloway, NJ (near the shore). Also, it is a hybrid program so you would need to be on campus, usually 1-2 nights a week. If you live in Jersey then I highly recommend it!
