  1. What practice setting is ideal for a new graduate FNP? (FQHC, private practice, community clinic, HMO, retail clinic, etc.)?
  2. In 2010, around 25 FNP applicants were accepted. In 2011, around 13 FNP applicants were accepted. This reduction in FNP acceptances was due to the fact that the GNP track turned into the AGNP track last year, so the # of AGNP acceptances increased and the # of FNP acceptances decreased. I'm sure this trend will be the same this year. Hope that clarifies it.
  3. Some people got off the waitlist 3 days before class started...I think 1/3 of the cohort got off the waitlist last year. There's usually around 300ish applicants...100ish interviews...and 50 acceptances. But competition differs from track to track. FNP is by far the most competitive..13 acceptances / 165 applicants (That is what admissions told me last year) then comes CNM, AGNP, PMHNP, CPHN. good luck to all! waiting is brutal...
  4. Seattle University does as well.
  5. Hi everyone I will be applying to Seattle U's APNI program for a summer 2011 start date. Does anyone know if the program gives preference for applicants who have worked for a number of years after obtaining their bachelors degree over applicants who apply right out of undergrad?
