I took the NCLEX this morning and finished in a little over an hour with 75 questions. I had a lot of priority questions, no math whatsoever. I prayed for the screen to shut off at 75 and it did...but on the way home I'm thinking to myself that could be really good or really bad. I sure hope it is a good sign. Good luck to all of us taking the NCLEX this week.

So how did you do?
I PASSED!!! Thank goodness. It was kind of cool because my parents were in town for my daughter's high school graduation and they were able to celebrate with me. I called the BON three times so they could hear the computer voice say my name (LOL). I danced a little jig around my living room. Now I feel lost without any studying to do. It's kind of hard to relax now, but I will give it a shot!! Thanks for all the support on this board, it's great!!!
Awesome!

I took mine yesterday, had some priority questions. It seemed I had a lot of questions that gave you the background on the patient and I had to determine what I would take care of immediately, are these also considered priority.
For example, THIS WAS NOT A TEST QUESTION:
You have a child with epiglottis what would require immediate attention?
Fever
Dyspnea
Nausea
Vomiting
It seems I had more of these than what patient would you assess first.
Thanks

I posted a little while ago about being afraid I didn't pass because of lack of math, 83 questions, my anxiety, feeling like I moved too fast, etc etc. I took the test on Thurs the 15th and just bawled when it was over because I was sure my 2 years of hard work was worth nothing and I was going to have to tell my new job I couldn't start because I didn't pass. I found out online on my BON website that I PASSED. I don't know how, because that was the hardest thing ever. It was priority, delegation, infection control (ridiculously hard), and 'select all that apply' (which I'm horrible at). I did take an optional break at question 50 because my panic was swallowing me whole.
I had gone to a review course by STAT nursing consultants and it was very good. For the priority questions, she said, always look at it like "Who is going to die if I don't go in and see them first". That seemed to help me. Also, I prayed the computer would not stop at 75-I wanted as much of a chance to prove myself as possible!! That also helped me not panic when it didn't shut off (however, I did panic when it shut off 8 questions later!!). I figure if the computer is still asking me questions, I still have a chance!!
