Nova Southeastern University Spring '12

Hi! I will be submitting my NSU application at the beginning of next week (just waiting on my second L.O.R.) and I can't wait! I am very anxious to hear back from them, and have my fingers tightly crossed I will get accepted for spring. Are there any other hopefuls out there??

They are looking for both your science and cumulative GPA..

Science courses required are Anatomy 1 & 2 with labs, chemistry, & micro.

For your cumulative GPA its all the courses Nova requires... Here's the link to the requirements page http://www.nova.edu/nursing/entrylevel/courserequirements.html

Any classes you have taken which are not required to enter the program will not be used to calculate your GPA.

Thanks for the update, Prisci! Wow, that's really great news! I have a 3.62 overall GPA, but that includes Organic Chem I & II, Physics I & II, etc. So these courses won't be taken into account when Nova re-calculates my cumulative GPA? That would be great, my GPA would be much higher without those courses (not exactly my strong point... haha).

No Problem! :) only the prerequisites they require will be used to calculate your GPA. :yeah:

The "end of October" cannot come fast enough. I check my mailbox frantically every single day, and log on to webstar constantly to see if new options have opened up for me. Haha I feel so spastic

Kayla- if we both get admitted to the main campus, we should set up a date to meet up! I would love to check out the campus and look at apartments in the area to get a feel for the best place to live :)

Did anyone here apply to the kendall campus?

Hi guys, my name is Karla, and Im a 1st semester student at Nova- Fort lauderdale campus, I know how all of you are feeling, but my advice is to be patient, when I applied back in march 2011 Nova received over 1000 applications for 180 sits, students that are done with the prereqs and with the highest GPA are accepted first. Hi Everyone! My name is Julie. I applied for the nursing program for winter 2012 at the Main Campus. I'm freaking out a little because I never got a webstar email, so i'm a little worried about that. I just want them to hurry up and send OUR acceptance letter. I got the email for the open house but it sucks I have to work that. So if you go and they provide any important information can you post it. I would really appreciate it.

Hi again Julie! I wouldn't worry too much about the webstar thing, I think it was only sent out to those who have already submitted their FAFSA. I'm sure you can call them and ask them how to access your webstar account. As soon as I found out about the Open House, I took off of work, so I will be going. I'll be sure to post any important information that I remember!

Ok guys, it's past the 15th of the month, so in my eyes it's officially the end of the month!!!! Haha. I'm sure we'll all be hearing any day now! :)
