Nova Southeastern University Spring '12

Published

Hi! I will be submitting my NSU application at the beginning of next week (just waiting on my second L.O.R.) and I can't wait! I am very anxious to hear back from them, and have my fingers tightly crossed I will get accepted for spring. Are there any other hopefuls out there??

Phew, haha I definitely feel better. Do you live in the area or are you going to have to relocate as well?

Phew, haha I definitely feel better. Do you live in the area or are you going to have to relocate as well?

I live about 45 mins to an hour north of Ft. Lauderdale so I would definitely be relocating! I know that the BSN entry level curriculum must be pretty intense so I wouldn't want to add to the stress by commuting everyday haha. I've briefly looked into apartments in the surrounding area but I've read sooooo many terrible reviews (bug infested, lots of noise from 595, etc :uhoh3:) so I'm a liiiiiiiittle worried about it. I just want to find out soon so I can start to look into apartments more seriously. What about you?

Oh god haha I looked at apartments when I first submitted my application, but didn't look into them much further after that since I didn't want to jinx it haha. I live in Sarasota, so I will definitely be relocating. It definitely will be nice to hear back so that I can start making arrangements if need be! I feel like the end of October is soo late..

Hahaha I'm the same exact way- always worried looking into too many things might jinx it. Someone else on the other Nova 2012 board said that an advisor told them that they could hear back in early October instead of late October, which would be reaaaaally nice.

I woudn't make too much of it. I have had access to WebStar since April, which is long before I applied to the Nursing program. Like everyone else I only have access to my financial information. Hoping that will change soon.

Kind of a random question, but does anyone here know if we keep the same classmates throughout the whole program (cohort)? I know it's going to be an intense program, so I'd like to get to know others in the program pretty well, form study groups, etc.

I hope we get to keep the same people for each semester. I wish everyone the best in getting in. I also got the ID and webstar. I got it back in march because I filled at the FAFSA.

Good Luck Everyone!:D

I figured the WebStar thing might have had something to do with filling out my FAFSA. Have you guys applied to other schools as well?

I applied to Miami Dade's transitional program. Hopefully, I get into one or the other.

That's great, when do they release their decisions? I applied to University of Miami Accelerated BSN. I found out on Saturday that I got in. I may apply to FAU because it will be cheaper and it's close to where I live, but they start in May and I really want to start ASAP!

Miami Dade should release their decisions around the same time as Nova. Congratulations on getting into the University of Miami! :yeah:
