Nova Southeastern University Spring '12

Published

Hi! I will be submitting my NSU application at the beginning of next week (just waiting on my second L.O.R.) and I can't wait! I am very anxious to hear back from them, and have my fingers tightly crossed I will get accepted for spring. Are there any other hopefuls out there??

Congrats on your acceptance to UM kayla!!! :yeah:

Congratulations Kayla! Are you leaning towards one school in particular?

Also, I just received an email about the open house Nova is hosting on the 29th of October and I was wondering if anyone was planning on going?

How do you sign up to receive these emails?

You should be receiving them if you listed your primary email address when you filled out the application. Maybe they're all ending up in your spam folder? Or if you didn't apply to the main campus maybe you didn't get it because the open house is for that campus? I'm not sure

It must be because I applied to the Kendall campus..

Thank you all :) I'm still leaning towards Nova though. I graduated from UF last December so I spent 4 years in Gainesville and I'm kind of liking being home again. I'm from Boca so Nova isn't too far away. I know Miami really isn't THAT far away either, but it doesn't seem as practical for me... I probably would never come back home or see any of my friends because it's only a year program so I know that I'd stress out all of the time and have absolutely no life. Plus housing is soooooooo expensive there and finding a roommate on my own would be difficult. Plus from the VIP page, Nova seems like they always have things going on for students which I like. I also want to get to know people well, especially in our program, since it's going to be stressful and we'll all need to lean on each other and study. Everyone I've talked to regarding my application has always gotten back to me in a timely manner (unlike at other schools), so it seems like they care about the student.

As far as the Open House e-mail, I haven't gotten it and I applied to the main campus. Strange because I've gotten all of their other e-mails. I'm not going to let myself think that that could mean something unfavorable for me because that's exactly where my mind is going right now haha. Is this open house for admitted students only? I'd like to go so that I can meet others in the program.

As soon as I typed that I got the e-mail... I feel better now haha

Did anyone here apply to the kendall campus?

Prisci,

I applied to the Kendall campus. It would be ideal because I live in Homestead.

How awesome! I live in Hialeah so it would be about a 20 min drive... I Cant wait to hear from nova and find out already :)

Good Morning Everyone!

I don't know if everyone has looked at their GPA the same, based on my transcripts my science GPA was 3.6 and overall 3.5; However, I spoke to an adviser yesterday, and she confirmed my science GPA is 3.75, Nova is only looking at the classes they require to calculate your GPA...Heres a link to calculate your GPA http://thegpacalculator.appspot.com/college/nova

** The adviser also confirmed notices will be sent out towards the end of October.

***According to posts I have read, the most difficult class the first semester is PHS4904, Here's a link for those who want to know what to expect and get a head start http://highered.mcgraw-hill.com/sites/0073378119/student_view0/

Good Luck to everyone!!!
