U.S.A. Florida

Published

Hi everyone! Just wanted to know if there is anyone who has applied to NSU's Entry Level BSN program RECENTLY and got in. I want to apply for Fall 2013's program. What was your GPA when you applied, how hard was it do you think to get in overall, just any personal experiences with your application journey.

I have a 3.691 currently and have taken Anatomy 1 & 2 with labs and got A's. Now I'm taking Microbiology and getting a B currently, will I be okay? Still have Chemistry and Human Growth and Dev. to take in the spring.

Thanks everyone in advance! :)

what size lab coat did you order and what size are you normally? (question is for anyone who has ordered there labcoat) thank you! :)

You can wait until orientation and try them on.

Hey guys! For orientation tmrw, the only thing we need to take is our vehicle registration & our laptop if we want to connect it to Nova's wireless network correct? I'm beyond excited for tmrw. :) At what time are you guys planning on arriving?

Yeahh those are the only two thing you need to take..and you need to be there by 7:30 to sign in and stuff so ill probably get there around 7:00-7:15 hopefully there's not a lot of traffic tomorrow morning

Hello! I'm applying for the winter 2014 entry-level Fort Myers program and I was just wondering if anyone else who has applied has been called for interviews yet? I have a 3.35 cumulative (kind of low) and 3.65 science GPA. In the process of taking Sociology but all of my other pre-reqs are finished. I'm worried that I won't get an interview because of my GPA and not having the pre-reqs done already. Anyone have an idea of how competitive the Ft. Myers campus is?

I have also applied to the NSU nursing program for the Winter. I still have not heard of anything yet for the interview. I also have a low cum. gpa ( 3.1) and science (3.75). I'm waiting to hear something, I really hope I can start this Jan., I have all my pre-req's done, now we just have to play the waiting game. ;). has anyone heard from NSU yet

I also applied for the 2014 winter and I'm waiting to hear from them regarding the interview. I also have a low overall gpa at 3.1 and science at 3.75, I hope they get back to me soon. I have all my pre-reqs completed so now I just have to pray. ;)

Have you heard anything?

I did get a call a few weeks ago. She just was wondering if I would be taking sociology this semester (because I hadn't signed up for one previous to sending my transcript). I spent about 10 minutes talking with her asking questions. That was it though.I believe she told me because I have one class pending that I would probably not get an interview until October (if they still have available seats) and that those with all pre-reqs done would start getting interviews this month. Has anyone gotten contacted for interviews yet?

Everyone that's applying for Winter 2014, have you guys heard that they are integrating an entrance test? (Kaplan Nursing Exam) :( We would take it if we were to receive an interview, the same day of the interview too...

Yes I receive the email today saying that they are implementing an entrance exam for the people they decided to interview. I think interviews start in mid october how are we suppose to prepare/study in such short notice? Uhh this is so frustrating :(

I emailed one of the admissions coordinators today about whether the exam will be weighted the same, or more than the prereqs and interview points. I'm hoping its less since they just let us know about it. :/

By the way, is the science GPA just a&p1 and 2 with labs, micro and lab, and chem? Or are all the other prereqs included?
