Hi everyone! Just wanted to know if there is anyone who has applied to NSU's Entry Level BSN program RECENTLY and got in. I want to apply for Fall 2013's program. What was your GPA when you applied, how hard was it do you think to get in overall, just any personal experiences with your application journey.
I have a 3.691 currently and have taken Anatomy 1 & 2 with labs and got A's. Now I'm taking Microbiology and getting a B currently, will I be okay? Still have Chemistry and Human Growth and Dev. to take in the spring.
Thanks everyone in advance! :)
Hey go to schedule detail and it tells you from what date to what date the classes are.. One of the ones I have start in October
What class is that?? I think I know which one you are talking about, I don't know if you noticed it has the same class date and time as another class. The first class is 8 weeks and the one in October is the second eight weeks.
I didn't know one of the days it would be on a video conference, that's good I thought we would have to be driving twice a week to the main campus. If anyone speaks to Kristina please let us know what she says!
I spoke to her earlier, the class times and dates are correct. We should wait till orientation and when we have our syllabus and start class for more information.
Is there anyone who is getting the student health insurance with nova? If so, have you already completed all of your immunizations or is it best to do it at nova's clinic once the insurance is issued?
Immunizations are not due until November so as long as you submit all of the tests before the due date then it should be okay. In my opinion I think you should get them done once you get your insurance so that way it will cover up your costs. Hope this helps !
For textbooks, do professors mind which year or edition it is even though the ISBN and author is the same? I don't know how lenient they are on that. As for the Anatomy and physiology text book, people on here are saying it is given to us in class but do we purchase them or do we just borrow them from the professors?
I know sometimes the changes in editions for textbooks are so minor that it doesn't really make a difference but I'm not sure how the professors are about that. I haven't heard anything about them providing the books in class for physiology, I've always understood that you need to buy it. In the Email I just got from Tina about registration and everything, the Physiology book that is on the booklist is actually an older edition than the one they recommend on the nsu bookstore website, the website says you need the 13th edition and the booklist says the 12th. The 12th edition is much cheaper.
I'm doing the health insurance with nova but I started my immunizations last month I've been out of state so I haven't been able to finish them. When I called once they told me the insurance starts August 1st if I'm not mistaken so we might have it already? I'm not sure about that but you should call.

Yeah I saw that also. My friend goes to nsu already and she goes based on the book list that is sent by email. She told me most of the books aren't used. To just get the anatomy and the math one and wait for class to start for the others after talking to the professors but idk if to do that or just get everything for now.
Just ordered my scrub tops and labcoat. How long did yours take to arrive ? Did you pick them up at the bookstore or did they arrive at your house? Hopefully mine arrive just in time before school starts.
I ordered 2 scrub tops for about $50.The pants I will buy them from a uniform store near my house. I will buy two sets /the style will be cargo pants . Already tried on them on. The Cherokee style I wanted they didn't have it in teal blue. So I will try the bigger store location . Each pant will come out to around $20. The style I want is like $24 on the NSU website, so I save some money. If you want a cheaper scrubs you can find them cheaper than 20 but if you want the cargo pant style it will be around $15-20(Depending the website). So if you include shipping there is not much of a difference.

Yeah if you get it waived then they will give you back the money they charged the first semester
