Hi everyone!
I haven't seen a post about NSU's Entry-level BSN program for Fall 2015 so I decided to start one. If there is another thread that everyone else is on, please let me know! I double-checked to make sure there weren't any posts hiding but I could be wrong.
Anyway, I am waiting for my final transcripts to be sent to Nova. Other than that, now it's just the waiting game and I'm super anxious. They wont be calling people until Feb or March probably. I finished my AA with Broward College this December. I underestimated application deadlines and the application process to get everything together so unfortunately I will have a semester off from school.
I also applied to FAU's Traditional BSN program. I have a thread about that as well if you also applied to that school. You can jump over to that thread by clicking here
If all else fails I was thinking of just going back to Broward College, possibly their North campus.
If anyone has any stories or advice/knowledge about any of these programs, please share! If you're an applicant to NSU as well, good luck! Hope we get the responses that we want.
yes, it's not cheap at all I had to pay $30 for the ppd and $45 for the td since my last one was 10 years ago. Now for the second ppd is another $30 and around $65 for the tdap. The titers I had my Hep B done like two years back and it was active and I got the varicella one done which proves I had the varicella. If you don't do the 2nd ppd you have to do the quantiferon which is a blood test and its expensive and the insurance doesn't cover it so that's why I'm doing the ppd test twice (it's cheaper). The physical I didn't pay for, only the co-pay for the doctors visit since I had not done my yearly checkup. Hopefully you can sort it all out and finish all this paperwork which is never ending!!!
Yeah, I called and they told me that by next week. The waiting is horrible. In the meantime do you guys have plan B in case the scholarship doesn't work. Are you applying to get loans or should we wait until Baptist call? thanks any for any imput
I really hope the scholarship thing works out. If not I also applied for loans already and already have it approved. I'm just in the waiting game to see what happens. Hopefully I don't need to use it but I barely got loans enough just to pay the tuition and a little over which is not enough for books for the whole year! It's very expensive all together, uniforms, books and all that we may need through out the course! Hope this helps a little.
do you guys think that we will get loans the two years that the program last or is there any limit about loans, I dont want to start and then wont be able to finish due to insufficient money. I really hope I get the baptist scholarship but I am thinking also what to do if I dont get it. praying for everyone here in this forum who applied. let's think positive and pray

According to the financial aid office they base the loans also from your fafsa application. There is two types of loans the subsidized and unsubsidized. I applied for both because with one is not enough money. The maximum per semester for each type of loan is as follows: subsidized $ 2,750 & $3,500 for unsubsidized. So if you multiply each of these numbers times three that would give you the amount of loans per year ($18,750) Plus also whatever they might give you in grants and that you don't have to pay back. Also, If I'm not mistaken you get $3000 for the whole year for going to Nova because its a private university. Hopefully we can avoid all this if we get the scholarship. Hopefully this helps you understand more or less because I was very confused at the beginning and was freaking out about not having enough money to attend. GOOD LUCK!! PRAYING FOR THE BAPTIST SCHOLARSHIP
