Nova Southeastern University Entry-level BSN Fall (August) 2015! (:

Published

Hi everyone!

I haven't seen a post about NSU's Entry-level BSN program for Fall 2015 so I decided to start one. If there is another thread that everyone else is on, please let me know! I double-checked to make sure there weren't any posts hiding but I could be wrong.

Anyway, I am waiting for my final transcripts to be sent to Nova. Other than that, now it's just the waiting game and I'm super anxious. They wont be calling people until Feb or March probably. I finished my AA with Broward College this December. I underestimated application deadlines and the application process to get everything together so unfortunately I will have a semester off from school.

I also applied to FAU's Traditional BSN program. I have a thread about that as well if you also applied to that school. You can jump over to that thread by clicking here

If all else fails I was thinking of just going back to Broward College, possibly their North campus.

If anyone has any stories or advice/knowledge about any of these programs, please share! If you're an applicant to NSU as well, good luck! Hope we get the responses that we want.

They haven't sent out acceptances yet as far as I know, I think they might be waiting until the last interview this week. Have they given you a date?

Yep they just called me back, my interview is this Friday :)

Guys sorry that I took so long to reply these last weeks have been crazy i will answer all questions now

hi yenice292009!! thank you for your help. I want to ask you if is really good Nova as a nursing school and how is the quality of the professors? also, I have heard that the first semester is really difficult is that true? thanks in advance

Nova it is a great school I love it. We have a gym that we can use free, they are always trying to get students involved by having free breakfast and lunch. I am with the scholar program so I only get scholar program teachers meaning they work at baptist but they teach at Nova. They are great teachers and nurses! First semester is not difficult at all. You will have advanced anatomy and physiology in fort lauderdale with the best teacher ever, math ( super easy) and two more classes that you will do presentations and essay (not a big deal). Second semester is the hardest one, you will have a test every week but it is doable!! Good luck

Hi @yenics292009! Congrats on your acceptance to the nursing program!

Can you give us a idea of what your class schedule looks like? Were you able to choose the dates & times of your classes? Were you able to select your clinical site location? How many times during the second semester do you have clinical rotations? What are your clinical hours like? :)

Schedule for first semester was Monday 1-3 and 3-5 you need to go to Fort Lauderdale Tuesday Wednesday 9-12 Thursday 9-11 Friday off. They will give you the time and dates for every semester you dont have to choose or register online. For the clinical rotation for scholar you go to main baptist what you choose is the floor. Two days a week 7-4

Hey guys any news on the Baptist scholarship? I am still waiting...

If anyone doesnt mind answering, of the people that got into the NSU program, what was your GPA like?

my cumulative is 3.4 and idk my science because I think they dont count micro class

does anyone knows how is Nova uniform and from where to buy it?

If you google nova nursing scrubs, it should come up. They are Cherokee scrubs and teal color

thank you Daniel, has anyone already started buying uniforms? has anyone heard from Baptist? how you guys doing with immunizations and all the paperwork?

Hi Everyone, I was accepted to Nova for the fall term Kendall campus. I haven't heard about Baptist yet. They did tell me to wait until the end of the month for a response. I'm almost done with most of my paperwork. Only missing my second ppd and the tdap vaccine. Good luck to everyone!! Really excited to start already
