I applied to Nova's Entry Level BSN program today for Fall 2012 semester and thought it may be helpful to start up a forum.

Has everyone finished their perquisites? Does anyone else have a not so competitive GPA (like me)? Does anyone know who is considered a competitive applicant? Where is everyone else applying?
I look forward to speaking with everyone and hopefully entering the Fall '12 class together!

This thursday makes 1 Month since my interview. I called and they said no decision has been made. They said no I'm not on hold, just no decision has been made. Funny part is when I was in the interview she told us it would take 1 week to 2 weeks to hear back. She also said she would actually know the decision within two days unless you get put on hold. smh. This is some stressful stuff. I don't know what to think....4 weeks and still nothing!!!!! I got straight A's on my sciences I figured this would be a fairly easy decision for them. This is like American Idol just before they announce who the winner is....That little pause before they say the name...The Winner Is.....Tune In 4 Weeks from now or more.
Hey please do not get discouraged...i think i kinda know what they are doing this blogs comments and from what ive been seeing. I think they made an elimination cut last week for all campuses. So if you have not recieved an elimination or denial you are still good. However, i dont know what a hold is but just stay positive i think they just wanna see more people who are out there who applied as well. But you are still good because some people who had interviews in early May got the denial last week please stay positive!

They do. It's one paragraph and you get to choose from 3 prompts. I don't think it's a deciding factor but just a reassurance that you can communicate through writing don't stress too much about the essay. I'm a horrible writer and I got in lol

Hey its easy questions like: about smoking in public areas, or having vending machines in schools, and they ask you for your opinion and what you would do to help minimize it. The hardest part is the waiting part. They are superrr nice there so just be yourself and show them you want it and love it. Its a group interview so get to know the people in the waitiing room before the interview incase you get selected in with them to talk and feel more comfty. Dont be nervous its no biggie. I was nervous but they calmed me down :heartbeat
I'm going tomorrow, this was really unexpected for me, I thought they were already done with the entire process. Now, let just see how things roll, and What the Future Holds for me... :heartbeat

They won't be done until after the July 15 deadline. Nova doesn't have a waitin list they just accept people in groups. So no news is good news!!
I called nova and left a message. I still didnot get the email from them. I wish you all the best tomorrow. keep in touch and let me know how the interview went.
