Congratulations to all the future Shark Nurses. I'm starting a new Nursing Club at the Kendall campus. Anyone registered at the Kendall campus is welcome to join. I am also looking for board officers. Please IM me if you are interested. Some of the activities we will have are seminars with upperclassmen, professors, and practicing nurses. We will also be doing some community service. I haven't decided on a name yet but I have two possible names:
1-C.A.R.E: Compassionate, Assertive, Respectful, and Effective nurses
Any feedback or ideas are appreciated and welcomed. Joining a club so soon may seem crazy but it's a great way to stay busy and to establish a strong support system.
Great idea. I know that Zdream works on Saturday so we will see what the other say.. and I emailed Nursekitty as well. More people the better. Im up for anything as well. You know me lol lets see, im excited lol... if you have any other club ideas bring it up because the kendall campus is new and everything is being started from scratch..

I love the nurse shark team! Those are great ideas, i really want to start getting involved. Making a faq for up coming classes is also great. Jerziana you should run for president or vice president.

Hey Jennifer i actually have the quote written down... but i thought it was too long for ppl to read if we wanted to placed it on something or use it as our motto.... but i love it! Good thing we are on the same page! I just want this up and running already since our fall class already started and i have some ppl that would like to join and i want to get things done already and set for the Winter class thats coming in... our guppies... =) I just want to establish the president and vice, etc. so we can get it going... but i love that quote. I just was thinking more of short to the point and catchy so that ppl get the attention and our point is being set. But we can use it.... love it! I just want to start it and get it going asap.
By the way i am not sure if i have your email or not because i emailed a couple of ppl with the same info on the blog but maybe it will be easier through email to establish some things.. if you want to pm me with your email so we can start this. I dont think i have you,..and also since I am in the Baptist scholars i know that some need be in an organization and they would love this club.... so lets plan it out. all of us!
Btw, I think the club should have event planners where we can do fundraisers such as: car washes, selling something, etc. All the money we make can be donated to a special cause of our choice. Also, I did lots of community service hours in high school and college. I would love to set up dates for us to maybe do cancer walks, autism awareness, volunteer at a shelter, etc! As future nurses, I think it will make us even more humble and even prepare us for the future. Let me know!
Jennifer i just replied to with my personal email... let me know if you received it. I know another girl in my class thats starting the volunteer group so i will let her know you are interested. That way we can set things up from there and ppl dont have to scramble for things. For sure we have to do community hours we go into community health later on in the semesters.... so maybe the nursing club can get together with the volunteer group or we can group it as one???!! That way we can alway be involved with the community or whatnot and set up a bake sale, t-shirt sale, have our own kendall campus t shirts and we can have Davie approve it, with slogans or motto, quotes etc.. I think we can do a lot and i also want to look into a welcome letter for those student coming into the kendall campus and if guidance is needed they have our contact info if anything so we can help, like nurses would do =) Jennifer that was a great idea.. thanks. Lets see if we can get this going.
