Northwest in Senatobia

Has anyone applied for or attends Northwest in Senatobia?

Anyone recieved a letter yet? Any clue when they should come? Isn't registration next week?

i was wondering about the letters for spring semester also and called nwcc school of nursing today to see if they had been mailed out. she said that they were still working on them and it would be the end of this week at the earliest and possibly as late as early next week before the letters are mailed out.

thanks so much for the helpful comments "asoldierswife05". a little scary but very informative!

I had a friend that's waiting for a letter too call on Wednesday and they told her they finished some letters on Tues. and would send out the rest on Thursday. They said we should receive the letter no later than Tues. next week.

I'm in!!! Anyone else find out yet?!?

For those of you already in nursing school-any tips to prepare ourselves for what's to come? What is the one thing you said "Man, I wish I would have known that before I started?"

I started in August, and I wish I had realized how fast paced it is, and that the workload does not let up. So if I could tell you anything, it would be to use your time wisely, prepare ahead of time for tests, and when you start to feel burned out, set your sights on short term goals like fall break, spring break... whatever it is. I know right now, we are all like "only one more full week until Thanksgiving"!!! If nursing is what you really want to do, don't let the pressure make you quit. Roll with it, and call a fellow student anytime because I GUARANTEE they are thinking/feeling the same thing! (even if that means crying on the phone!)

Good luck to all of you!! Hope to see you in the January!!

I got "THE" letter also! I'm sure everyone heard the screams of joy when I opened the envelope!!

:paw:

Congrats!!! Have you registered for classes yet?? What are you taking (times)?? I'll see ya in Jan.!!!!

Yes, I pre-registered last week. How about you? WOW, Wednesdays are going to be boo-scarey! Solid classes from 8 a.m. - 3 p.m. I have not had any of the program courses; have you?

:paw:

I'm taking Nur.1 @ 8, pharm. on mon. @12 and A&P2 & lab! I'm so excited and nervous!!! I have to leave my kids (ages 2 & 4) in day care for the first time. It will be a hard adjustment but I know it will be worth it! See in Jan.!!

I forgot--have you done your CPR certification? Do you know where you can go to get it?

I asked the advisor about CPR certification and she told me that they will be teaching it after class during the semester or it can be taken through the Red Cross. She said to be sure that if you take it through the Red Cross that it is the correct class listed in the information packet. I believe that the Red Cross offers classes at the YMCA in Olive Branch.

I have Nursing Pharm I on Wed. 12:00 - 12:50, Nursing I Mon / Wed 10:00 - 11:50, A&P I Mon/Wed/Fri 9:00 - 9:50.

Good luck on the transition into daycare. I know it will be a big adjustment for all of you. Will they let you do 1/2 days a few days prior to school starting so you all can ease into it?

:paw:

I'll look into the Olive Branch YMCA-I would like to go ahead and get it out of the way! You have a great schedule. I have the 8:00 Nur.I--We'll see how well I do leaving the house at 6:30 a.m.!!!

The day care will let me bring them 1/2 days the week before so that will be good!!
