Has anyone applied for or attends Northwest in Senatobia?

HI...I got in also...looking forward to seeing ya'll there!

If anyone is needing to get a CPR class, St. Jude is having one on Sat., Dec. 2nd at 1:00. The cost is $40/cash (you get your card on the spot-no waiting) and the certification is good for 2 years. They only have 3 spots left (the max they can have is 6). So if you want to register call 901-495-4765.

Congrats Rebecca! Are you in the 8:00 or 10:00 class?

I am in 8.00 class...I saw you are in the same one. Congrats to you too!

Hi! Does anyone know what the NWCC RN student uniforms look like?

Just curious.

:paw:

No I am not sure. I would like to know. I guess I could go look in the bookstore.

My sister-in-law attended in the early 90's and said the uniforms then were hideous polyester nightmares! Hopefully they've improved. I was so stressed about making it in that it never occured to me to ask what the uniform looked like. I'll be thrilled to wear it no matter what it looks like . . . well, within reason!:chuckle

It's grey. Grey scrubs and they are actually nice. We had to wear white.

Thats a relief...I had CNA training and we had navy blue which wasn't so bad either. I am just so excited they could stick me in a potato sack and I wouldn't care.

AMEN to the potato sack comment!!! The grey scrubs sound good. Thanks asoldierswife05!

Does anyone know if they require certain shoes? Also what comes in the nursing kit?

Shoes are to be completely white. (I bought some Reeboks at Shoe Carnival for $30 - they're really comfortable!) The nursing kit that you buy in the bookstore comes with things you'll need for labs: a foley catheter kit, gloves, tape, a nasogastric tube, an enema kit, an irrigation tube, a gown/hat/gloves/shoe covers for when you study infection control, and a dressing tray. I think that's everything. Definitely worth the money, imo.
