Hello,

I decided to make a thread for everyone who's applied to Northwell's April 2022 fellowships. I applied to all of the April 2022 ED fellowships.

Hello all!

I accepted a position for north shore ED this week. So excited!! Anyone else on here starting in April for the emergency fellowship?

I have an interview this week for April ED fellowship at valley stream. How was the interview? I heard if they call you for an interview then you have the job because many nurses left to travel ??‍♀️

 What is the starting salary?

I didn't have my interview yet, but it is next week. I'll be interviewing with a panel virtually for a different northwell site.

Not sure of salary, but it would great if people started posting. New Grad for NYU us 104k + 6k differential. I would really love to know Northwell's.

NYU in long island or the city?

That's incredible! Does anyone know if NYC salaries are comparable to LI salaries for any hospitals?

I haven’t heard anything back, so I guess I’m out of the running this time. I did have an interview for LIJ’s ED October Fellowship back in September but didn’t make it. It was simple.

Here are some questions I remember:

Tell me about yourself, tell us about your experience, how would your co-workers describe you, and there was a clinical scenario question.

Best of luck to everyone!!

Thank you!

Email the recruiter or nurse manager. Alot of the staff nurses left for travel, they need you. And you can always apply to nyp or nyu. Do the hiring events as well.

I heard back after my on-demand for the oncology and have an in-person scheduled this week!

Also just curious, did anyone hear back from the critical care fellowship in the city/Lenox Hill?

I just accepted a position for the ED fellowship!

The process went as follows: Applied, about a week later received a call from my recruiter to set up the on-demand interview, about a week after it was submitted I got a call from the ED department to schedule an in-person interview. The day after my interview I got a call from my recruiter to send in my references, and the day after my references were submitted I got the offer!

Interview was very short, about 15 minutes in length with maybe 6 or 7 general questions asked, also included 2 hypothetical clinical q's.

Salary wise, although I can't attest for all hospitals, but for the ones in Nassau, it is about 95k base salary, and with night differential 101k to start.

Hope this info helps! Best of luck to everyone! ❤️

I was lucky enough to secure a position at a city hospital earlier this week. Not my first choice but better than my current situation

I’ll try again for Northwell in a year or two.

I hope you’ll hear back soon!

Awesome, congrats!!

I didn't receive any feedback yet, but I did accept an offer at an ED at a hospital in the city. So I'm happy!! That base salary is pretty good.

Good luck on your journey!
