Hello,
I decided to make a thread for everyone who's applied to Northwell's April 2022 fellowships. I applied to all of the April 2022 ED fellowships.

Just asked me about myself and basically why I want to do this. Does anyone know how many people apply/get interviewed? Or how many people even get in?
Not sure about the amount of applicants or interviews, but from what I've heard from other people, the cohort sizes for fellowships are usually pretty small for each unit. Maybe like 5-8 people? That is just a rough estimate based off what I have generally heard.

still haven't heard anything for cc at LIJ, do we get a rejection call or letter if so? or are we only contacted if offered position?
edit: I emailed the recruiter to ask if we get notified if rejected or only contacted if receiving an offer - ill let you all know when she responds!

I’m pretty sure rejection letters do get sent out, but only when they close the job opening for good— essentially when they’ve hired everyone/everyone has signed their contracts. I took the job at LIJ for oncology and then I got a rejection letter last week for onc at Lenox hill ( I had applied to both) — my recruiter let me know she was closing out the other onc sites and I was gna get a letter in email!
no news is still good news ? good luck!

Hi, did you ever hear back? If so how long did you wait for a reply after your on-demand interview?

Compared to other interviews at different hospitals, the managers and educators by far had the worst energy I have ever experienced in a hospital, so I recused myself of the position immediately after. I ended up taking a position at my dream hospital anyway.
But for people still interviewing, YOU ARE INTERVIEWING THEM AS MUCH AS THEY ARE INTERVIEWING YOU. If management does not fit you and your needs, it may not be worth the position.
Hi, great post ! What location did you interview at, please?

I have an interview on Monday for the Oncology Fellowship starting July 2022. I am extremely nervous and was wondering if anybody here who went to the interview has some advice on how to prepare for it and can tell me if they ask clinical questions? Please!
Don’t be nervous, mine was very relaxed - no clinical questions, just more so why I wanted to work in oncology, what oncology experience I had in clinicals/what I saw but nothing that was like ‘quizzing’ or testing knowledge

does anyone have experience as a nurse or is this only for new grads?
