Has anyone heard back about the ED fellowship at LIJMC?

I had two rounds of interviews after my initial video interview online. I was contacted mid-May by HR and had applied for the fellowship after Golden Ticket back in January. Had an initial phone interview with HR lasting about 5 minutes right after I submitted my online application. Very brief, asked about why I wanted to become a nurse, difficult patient, asked for a head-to-toe, etc. First in-person interview was with my manager, educator, and an RN on the unit itself. Lasted about 30 minutes with a tour of the unit. Was contacted about two weeks later for another interview with the Director of Surgical Services at Lenox Hill. Second interview was about 20 minutes. Got an offer the next day over the phone from HR! Overall process took about 3-4 weeks and a lot of follow-up on my part with HR.

If you're looking for specific questions, I can't remember much. Something I found helpful was going online to sites like Glassdoor and Indeed. There were a bunch of questions people had listed there that were similar to what was asked during my interviews. Hope this helps, good luck.

First round of interviews was me and three people. Second was one on one.

Has anyone heard back for the LIJ critical care fellowship? It's like my dream job to work in an ICU there

Never heard back for the ED fellowship @LIJMC, even though I followed up with the recruiter herself & she said she would update me directly (this was on 3 different occasions that I reached out & she assured me she would). Just took the NCLEX yesterday & received an offer from LIJMC to work on a medical unit about 30 mins after that so I'm taking it. I had the interview on June 29th. The recruiter for this position did tell me the next orientation at LIJMC is starting 8/6 so hopefully those still waiting to get into a fellowship there hear back. I saw on Northwell's website that there is another fellowship in October. Does anyone know when the application may come out for that round? I finish my ABSN in August. Thanks!

Hey Everyone,

I wanted to know if anyone started receiving interviews for the October fellowship at Manhasset. Also for people that already got in for August fellowship, did you guys have to send any letter of recommendations to the recruiter?

@RNurse1023, I think Manhasset has not interviewed any body yet. Fellowship for October critical care just went up today, 9/20/18.

@knight- were you able to apply when it came up on 9/20/2018? I tried applying today on 9/24, but they say the job listing is no longer available. However, the job listing is still visible to click on, just won't let us apply anymore. I hope it reopens :/

@knight @supremeRN Both the critical care and ED fellowships were posted in early September but they took them down quickly. I'm assuming they re-posted them because they haven't filled the spots yet. I'm trying for the ED fellowship but so far have heard nothing :/

@jt3262 how long ago did you apply? did you submit Cover letter too or just your resume?

@supremeRN I applied on september 10 and I submitted both. I know some hospitals don't require a cover letter but I figured for a fellowship they may want it.
