  1. I remember I called and they said it was okay! The day of the exam, it was not a bother at all. Good luck on your test!
  2. @RNurse1023, I think Manhasset has not interviewed any body yet. Fellowship for October critical care just went up today, 9/20/18.
  3. Perhaps you have an in-service coordinator at your workplace? Maybe the coordinator can give an in-service for the department about customer service, emphasizing on professionalism. We recently had it in mine, and the coordinator mentioned "not to discuss personal issues in front of the patients."
  4. Do hospitals hire or at least train nurses for the ED who has the CEN, but has zero ER/EMT/ER tech experience?
  5. Of course. Not all hospitals require a BSN. But some would really like it if you are currently studying to get your BSN.
  6. You know, this is reassuring and comforting to know. I have been working for almost 2 years in a sub-acute facility. It's never easy working in LTCs, but we survive. Thank you for some sort of validation.
  7. You're welcome! Do you guys think they will repost the August 2018 listings again come May? Before, I usually see them roughly 2 months prior to the start month... It's interesting that they posted it all at once this February...
  8. Ditto, start applying now. Get your BLS and ACLS certifications as well, and some online courses (and there are lots of free courses out there), just to put some meat in your resume.
  9. Hi guys, I just did a search and I saw that the August 2018 for Manhasset is up again as of today, but nothing else.
  10. Sorry for the late reply, how are you faring? Hope you passed your NCLEX already. I will answer your question just in case somebody else is now in your previous position.. If there are anything missing that the school should have provided, the best you can do is go to your school personally and sort it out with them. If your date of birth was not provided, try to have the school reflect your date of birth on that document and have them resend it. If you are waiting for the school to send your transcripts, following up with them is the key. Don't mind if the office staff is annoyed already with your face showing up every morning. This is your future we're dealing with.
  11. Thank you for the list of options above, I really appreciate it as I am also looking in the global nursing direction in my career.
  12. Excuse me, but I just have to ask, what is the "Filipino nurse stereotype?" Because it has a negative connotation based on how it was used in the query above...
  13. One of my friends is also like that. Her PRC Validation letter was late. After passing her NY NCLEX-RN and all, that was only the time that she was updated by CGFNS, saying that they already received her PRC documents. She said that the transcripts are more important, and was thankful that her school transcripts was received on time.
  14. Hello! I believe CGFNS sends the 'Authorization for Validation of Registration/License' to the main office in Manila. Also, I think what PRC does is fill out a form sent by CGFNS and provide a PRC seal on it, to 'validate' that you are indeed licensed here in PH. Then they will send the documents back to CGFNS. They do not really send a copy of your license, I believe. If it's delayed, I suggest call PRC to follow up whether they have already received the request, and if they have sent the docs already. If they haven't received any request yet, the best thing to do is wait. And follow up again.
  15. I have a similar problem, but not entirely. I have a really long first name and upon registration with Pearson, it only allowed me 15 characters on the first name box. For example my name is "MARIA ELLIZABETH", it only appears on my account (and now on my ATT as well) as "MARIA ELLIZABET". Do you guys think they will still let me take the NCLEX exam? Thank you!
