What is Masoncore? I plan to get my RN thru nova and transfer to Mason to finish my BSN. Can I not do that without taking other Mason Core classes? I think I need to talk to a counselor but not sure where to start (if it matters, I have all pre-reqs and co-reqs completed with all As but one B in General Pharmacology.

They are talking about applying directly to MASON nursing and skipping NOVA RN. If you go to NOVA RN and transfer to MASON you would be doing their RN to BSN program or MASON BSN CO-Enrollment. https://nursing.gmu.edu/academics/bachelor-science-nursing-BSN-programs
Hello,
sorry I just saw all the post I would recommend looking at GMU’s online nursing information just Google GMU nursing. They have a lot of information on there, and you can also sign up for an information session. Hope it helps anyone else who may be interested in transferring to Mason. It could be helpful to look into the Co-enrollment as well that looks interesting if any of us get accepted to Nova’s program. That way we can work on the RN and BSN at the same time. Good Luck everyone:)

We would also advise that for those that get accepted and meet the criteria they look into the MASON ADVANCE for nursing https://www.nvcc.edu/advance/

Does this mean that decisions could go out as early as next week? That would be 3 weeks ahead of last year!

Hello! I was not 100% sure if this was towards me, but this is what I have/will have completed for each requirement.
Mason also has some pre-reqs on top of this.

Ah, I see. I'll be finishing up the courses for Mason this semester so if I don't get in I'll try Mason (or switch majors if I don't get into Mason's).
